    Jack Wilshere believes he will definitely play for Arsenal before the Euros and could appear in a comeback game as soon as next week.

    The 24-year-old England international is set to resume full training and there is a chance he could even feature when the Gunners' under-21s face their Newcastle counterparts on Friday week, report the Mirror., external

    Midfielder Wilshere has yet to kick a ball this season because of a broken leg suffered in training last August and is facing a race to be fit for the European Championship.

    Bristol's Lee Haskins will make the first defence of his IBF world bantamweight title against Ivan Morales of Mexico on 14 May.

    The 32-year-old was handed the belt last November when previous champion Randy Caballero failed to make the weight for their bout. 

    The fight against Morales will take place at the new Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff.

    Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery following sustaining a broken leg on international duty.

    The 21-year-old injured his right leg in a tackle while playing for France Under-21s against Scotland on 24 March.

    McLaren driver Fernando Alonso has been barred from racing in the Bahrain Grand Prix on medical grounds following his 180mph crash in Australia.

    Doctors at Sakhir found problems with his chest after conducting scans on the two-time champion.

    The 34-year-old Spaniard will have to be checked again before the Chinese Grand Prix in two weeks' time.

    The FIA said Alonso's chest scans "showed insufficient resolution of the signs to allow him to compete".

    The former Chelsea manager is the favourite to become United's next boss if they sack Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.

    According to Gazzetta dello Sport,, external Mourinho will order United's board to sanction a £28m offer for the Colombian.

    The 23-year-old Murillo only joined Inter from Granada last summer but has made a positive impression in his 27 appearances in Serie A.
