After a four-year absence, Rangers will secure a return to the Scottish top flight if they beat Dumbarton at Ibrox later.

They were demoted to the Scottish Third Division in 2012 after going into administration, owing £134m. Later that year they were liquidated and a new company formed.

If Rangers win, it will be their third promotion in four seasons.

Elsewhere, Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic will aim to extend their advantage over Aberdeen to seven points when they travel to sixth-placed Dundee.

The other top-fight fixture sees Partick Thistle host bottom club Dundee United.

Manchester City keeper Joe Hart made a welcome return to training this morning ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris St-Germain tomorrow.

Hart suffered a calf injury against Manchester United immediately before last month's international break and missed Saturday's win at Bournemouth.

Hart's presence is important as one of City's three senior keepers Richard Wright, has not been registered in their Champions League squad, so 20-year-old Angus Gunn, son of former Scotland keeper Bryan, was on standby despite never having played for the team.

Midfielder Yaya Toure was missing from the open section of training, which lasts 15 minutes. He has been suffering from knee and heel problems.

Fabian Delph is available after recovery from an Achilles injury. As expected, Vincent Kompany and Raheem Sterling were not present.
