The price of agents in Germanypublished at 10:16

    Football

Schalke spent more on fees for players' agents than any other club in Germany over the last two transfer periods, according to figures released by the German Football Federation and German Football League.

They say Schalke paid agents 16.9 million euros (£13.5m) between March 15, 2015 and March 15, 2016.

That's more than Bayern Munich (£13.3m), Borussia Dortmund (£12.6m) and Wolfsburg (£10.3m). Schalke are currently 7th in the Bundesliga - led by... do we even need to tell you? Bayern. Although Dortmund are only five points behind...

Ben Hewitt: Has to be Edwin van der Sar! Incredible at 40, and still saving penalties in his comeback game at 45!

Richmond Crowhurst: "Sir" William Bonds...still playing in the top division at 41 and NOBODY messed with him....

Simon Richardson: A midfield of Pirlo, Zidane, Giggs and Beckham would be pretty juicy.

There'll be plenty on Antonio Conte's to-do list as he prepares to take over as Chelsea boss, not least what to do with the club captain.

John Terry was set to leave at the end of the season as no contract extension had been offered but will Conte want to keep the 35-year-old?

Former Chelsea midfielder and assistant manager Ray Wilkins thinks so, telling Radio 5 live: "I think there's every chance he'll stay and I think Conte will realise how important he is to the club.

"Italian clubs are never too keen on getting rid of good experienced players. If you look when Conte had Pirlo at Juventus, he playing some of the best football of his career so I don't really see a problem as far as that's concerned.”

"We need to change the format of the Six Nations championship," Lapasset told Le Figaro.

"This competition should open, either direct [promotion] or via a play-off."
