Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has urged the club's board to prove its ambition as he prepares for talks about a new contract this week.
The Dutchman, 53, guided Southampton to their highest Premier League points total of 63 thanks to the 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Koeman's contract at St Mary's runs until the summer of 2017.
"It's one thing speaking about ambition and the second is to show it," Koemantold BBC Radio Solent.

The club have been up for sale since 2014, after the Football Association turned down owner Assem Allam's request to a change of name to Hull Tigers.
As offer is now understood to have been made and talks held over the weekend have been described as "constructive".

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has released a statement following the club's abandoned Premier League fixture against Bournemouth on Sunday.
“The safety of the fans is our number one aim at every event we host at Old Trafford," he said. "Overall, I'm proud of how our staff responded.

More on the news that Bath head coach Mike Ford will leave the club at the end of the season.
Ford joined the club in 2012 as a first-team coach and has been head coach for the last three seasons.
“Over the four years Mike has been with the club, both he and the team under his guidance have achieved a huge amount," said managing director Tarquin McDonald.
"He has developed an exciting, attacking style of rugby, helped to develop exciting talent and in 2014-15 he brought the team to the final against Saracens at Twickenham."

A private security firm that staged a training exercise which caused a Premier League match at Old Trafford to be postponed has been named.
Security Search Management & Solutions Ltd (SSMS) was hired by Deacons Canines to test its sniffer dogs using fake bombs, the BBC understands.
A device was left behind, leading to the postponement of Manchester United's match against Bournemouth.
SSMS said it was waiting for the club to get in touch before making comment.

The victory parade is due to start at Jubilee Square, in the city centre, at about 18:00 BST, before the team take the stage later at Victoria Park.
The Foxes were presented with the trophy after their final home game of the season against Everton on 7 May.
The champions were 5,000-1 to win the title at the start of the season.
