Woop! People have thoughts!published at 11:36

    Football

Joe Schiavone: Not worried with the two teams we can face in the CL QF. Celtic will beat them easily.

Lachlan Keay: I think Celtic must show great character to get through - well they have the right man for the job.

Craig: Celtic progression should be a formality, it's further into the tournament where they have got worse & worse in recent years

Mark Embleton: Celtic have some wonderful technician's. The footballers aren't bad either. They will qualify easily.

    Football

    • There are 34 teams in the second round of the draw
    • The champions of the countries who enter in this round are joined by the first qualifying round winners. The appropriate number of balls contain slips of paper reading 'Winner first qualifying round tie x' and take the coefficient of the seeded team in each of those ties.
    • Before the draw clubs are split into groups with equal numbers of seeded and unseeded teams who are drawn together.

Don't worry, we are still waiting for the group with Celtic in it... You haven't missed much.

FreddyHowardinho: Changes or not, England woeful under Hodgson. Pedestrian against Russia & Wales and will be eliminated by any half decent team

PegLeg: Roy making lots of changes and potentially facing Germany/Spain next... not a problem... we've got to beat everyone eventually

Garry Pierrepont: It would be useful to give fringe players a game as we might need them later on. Just make sure Sterling is left out.

Umaru Rilwanu: Why rest? Their tournament might end with the next game... Play the lads!

Italy goalkeeper and captain Gianluigi Buffon has a fever and is doubtful for his team's final Euro 2016 group game against the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday.

Coach Antonio Conte may also be without winger Antonio Candreva, who suffered a right adductor injury during Italy's 1-0 win against Sweden on Friday.

The Republic must win to stand any chance of qualifying for the knockout rounds while Italy have already guaranteed top spot in Group E.

Helen Davies: Leave Roy make as many changes as he wants. Us Welsh may have a chance of finishing top then :)

SW: Would be bonkers to leave Roo out of the starting line-up. Take him off at 60 if things are looking OK. We need that 1st spot!

Ian Lowe: Keep a winning team together.

Joe Griffith: Wales should play a 4-3-3 system to get the best out of Bale. Cutting in from the wings & causing havoc is what he does best.

Sam Aggrey: England took many good players to the Euros so making some changes for the last game isn't bad. But 6 changes is definitely  too many. Two or three should b enough.

Hugh in France: Wholesale changes could mean 3rd place in the group and Spain or Germany in the KO. Do England really want to take the risk?

England changes 'laced with risk'published at 10:17

    Football

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer in Saint-Etienne

"England manager Roy Hodgson's plan to make wholesale changes to his team against Slovakia in St. Etienne tonight is a strategy heavily laced with risk as the group is still wide open.

Hodgson knows England only need a point to reach the last 16 but he is leaving himself wide open to criticism, and rightly so, if it goes wrong and they are left with a sterner test than they might have had in the knockout phase.

He gambled and won against Wales - maybe at the latter end of his career he has suddenly got the taste for rolling the dice".

Dietrich Jeffreys: Make 3 changes, get the game won in the first half. 3 subs at half-time.

Josh Jones: I would start the team that ended the Wales game. Vardy through the middle, Sturridge & Rashford either side.

James Bardez: 6 changes? 4 too many and the reasoning is strange; 'rest players' & 'other players want to play'? I'd like to play too!

    Wouldn't we all, James.

    Pogba's potential 'project'published at 10:04

    Football

Paul Pogba's agent has said the club with the best "sporting project", and that gives the France international an opportunity to win titles, will be key to choosing his next club.

The 23-year-old is contracted to the Italian champions until June 2019 but his stellar play over the past two seasons has led to constant speculation in the European media of a big-money move to another club.
