Tuesday's Champions League match sees Luis Suarez reunited with his former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

And Rodgers has some mega nice words to say about the Barcelona striker.

"Luis Suarez is one of the most beautiful men you can come across," said Rodgers.

"He's humble and works tirelessly. He's super professional, a family man, and he gives everything for his life as football.

"I had the pleasure of working with him as a human being and as footballer he's one of the best in the world.

"He came to a world class team and made them better. Barca would not be the same without him in the team."

"These are the games we want to be involved in. We have to come up with a plan to get the result we want," says Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers. 

His side face Barcelona in their opening Champions League group match on Tuesday (19:45 BST).

The good news for the Bhoys is that captain Scott Brown has travelled to Spain and should be fit to play, despite picking up an injury during their 5-1 Premiership win over Rangers on Saturday.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will soon be speaking to the media as his side prepare to face Barcelona in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday.

Earlier on, GB's Libby Clegg and guide Chris Clarke earned a comfortable qualification in the T11 200m, finishing first in their heat in 25.90 seconds. 

Clegg is looking to add to the 100m title she won earlier in the Games.

And sure enough, there's the match for Gordon Reid. And he's done it in style, not quite bagels, but a 6-0 6-2 victory France's Frederic Cattaneo can't be grumbled over.

Worth remembering that Sunderland and Everton met at the Stadium of Light in May, with the Black Cats' 3-0 win ensuring they remained in the Premier League. 

It was also the final match for Roberto Martinez as Toffees' boss - he was sacked the next day and replaced by Ronald Koeman in the summer.

Sunderland have also since changed their manager, with Sam Allardyce becoming England manager and David Moyes taking over.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has trained this morning for the first time since injuring his hamstring on the opening day of the season.

Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville says he has been "chucked overboard" after leaving roles with England and Valencia this year.

Neville, 41, was sacked by the La Liga club in March after less than four months in charge.

He left his post as England's assistant manager after their Euro 2016 exit.

"The FA invested in me for four years. I'm the most experienced I've ever been yet you get chucked overboard," Neville told Sky Sports News., external

"It could be that I'm no longer ever a coach in football, that's not a loss."

Scotland's world number one Gordon Reid is flying through his third round wheelchair tennis fixture against France's Frederic Cattaneo.

The 2016 Wimbledon and Australian Open champion won the first set 6-0 and is currently 3-0 up in the second - although while I'm typing this he could wrap the match up to be honest. He's looking that good out there. 

Fellow Brit and three-time Wimbledon champion Jordanne Whiley faces Diede de Groot in the women's quarter-final at roughly 18:00 BST.

Serbia's Nada Matic celebrates whilst GB's Sue Gilroy hangs her head. 

She was 2-0 up and in command, but she completely lost her focus after Matic claimed the third game. 

Gilroy is a two-time Commonwealth champion but perhaps haunted by four Paralympics without a medal - her form continued to slip and it's Matic who's left celebrating Rio Paralympic bronze.

Ibrahim Al Hussein, who is part of the Independent Paralympic team in Rio, which is made up of two refugees, has been in action in the pool today in the first of his two events.

He grew up in Syria with 13 siblings and in 2014 travelled via a rubber boat across the Aegean Sea from Turkey to Greece, where he was granted asylum.

Al Hussein carried the team flag at the opening ceremony and is the second of the two members to compete after discus thrower Shahrad Nasajpour was in action on Thursday

His time of one minute 20.98 was not enough to see him through to the final but he goes again on Tuesday in the 50m event.

It's been a busy few hours in Manchester, with United announcing their annual results and City manager Pep Guardiola and Raheem Sterling speaking at a news conference.

United's record figures include the nuggets that Louis van Gaal and his coaches have been paid £8.4million in compensation following their sacking in May and that the club have written off £6.7m for German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Until then, there had been the - very - slight chance Schweinsteiger might have played for United again.

But now, even United's shareholders have been told the 32-year-old is no longer regarded as a member of Mourinho's squad.

So far Karen and Ken Tonge have seen wheelchair basketball, powerlifting and sitting volleyball - today they're here to watch table tennis and Will Bayley's bid for Paralympic gold!

"We have absolutely loved being here, but it is stressful watching all the drama unfold," admits Karen with a smile.

Ken adds, "Brazil has been so welcoming & we hope to see more of the city before going home but we've been so captivated by the sport!"

Sascha Kindred has been disqualified in the last race of his sixth and final Paralympic Games.

The 38-year-old swimmer has won six golds and 12 medals since making his debut at Atlanta 1996, but failed to progress from the SM6 individual medley heats due to a "technical infringement".

However, British Swimming are appealing against the decision. More on that as it breaks.

"Sue, Sue, Sue Gilroy," cheer the GB supporters.

They're desperately trying to raise Gilroy's spirits because she was a clear 2-0 in games ahead of Serbian rival Nada Matic and just one game from victory. Since then the momentum has entirely swung - it's now 2-2 and we're heading into a decider for the bronze medal.

Pep Guardiola has claimed his team are nowhere near competing for the major trophies.

That must be a bit of a worry for the rest of the Premier League, given their 100% start to the season.

While an injured Roger Federer sat out the US Open, he was delighted to see fellow Swiss Stan Wawrinka win his third Grand Slam title...

Just a simple gold medal and Paralympic record for Aled Davies then, and while it's hard to describe him as disappointed, he certainly doesn't think he achieved everything he could distance-wise.

"I was expecting Sajad (Mohammadian, who won silver) to really push me but I didn’t really have to push myself," said the Welshman.

"I could have done further the shape I’m in. I’m still not quite where I want to be but I just want to win medals."
