Mario Balotelli seems to have found a home in Nice, but that hasn't stopped him having a pop at former employers Liverpool. Of course.

The Italian striker scored twice on his debut, as Nice beat Marseille 3-2. And after he served the world a reminder of his talents on the pitch, he didn't hold back from following suit with his off-field antics either.

Balotelli told Canal Plus, external that moving to Liverpool was "the worst decision of my life", adding: "Apart from the fans, who were fantastic, and some players who I got on really well with, I didn't like the club.

"I had two coaches, with Rodgers and Klopp for a short time, but neither their methods nor their personality left me with a good impression. I never really felt right there.

"Of course. It's not too late [to win the Ballon D'Or]. I think I could have already won it by now, but by working hard in training I could still win it in the next two or three years."

Keep on being you, Mario. Don't change for anybody.

Could Arsene Wenger be about to offer Jack Wilshere a new deal at Arsenal?

It may seem like an odd move, considering he has just shipped the 24-year-old midfielder out on loan to Bournemouth, but that's what the Mirror are reporting. , external

"I want him to extend, yes, I think [talks will start] around December," Wenger is reported as saying.

"When I make a decision it is in the best interests of the player and of his interest as well."

The penultimate round of the County Championship starts today, and there's more subplots than a Quentin Tarantino movie.

Only one point separates Middlesex and Yorkshire at the top of Division One - with the two sides set to face each other at Lords in the final fixture of the season.

Hampshire, Lancashire, Durham and Warwickshire are separated by just eight points, with one to join Nottinghamshire in Division Two next season.

Essex have all but confirmed their promotion to the top division, and host Glamorgan in what should be something of a victory lap.

And there's the small matter of this being the last round of fixtures before the winter touring squads are announced on Friday. No pressure then, lads!

The action gets underway at 10:30 BST, and I'll point you in the right direction when our live text gets underway.

To make matters worse, Bravo's mistake came in a derby day victory. Hart's led to defeat.

In yesterday's only Premier League action, Chelsea scored a late equaliser to secure a 2-2 draw at Swansea.

However, after leading for most of the first hour, and with controversy surrounding Swansea's second, it's fair to say that Chelsea weren't best pleased with settling for a point.

    Cue Gary Cahill.

England one-day captain Eoin Morgan and opening batsman Alex Hales have opted out of October's tour of Bangladesh because of security concerns.

No international side has toured Bangladesh since 20 people were killed in a siege at a cafe in Dhaka in July.

The England and Wales Cricket Board said in August that tour would go ahead following a security review.

Jos Buttler will captain the one-day side, with the one-day and Test squads to be named on Friday.

Although England director of cricket Andrew Strauss said that the decision will have no repercussions on the pair's future availability, if the pair's replacements perform well, will this signal the beginning of the end for their international careers?
