Full-back Jamie Shaul, centre Mahe Fonua, prop Scott Taylor and back-rower Mark Minichello are also included.

The Gymnastics World Cup will move from Glasgow to London in 2017, with new promoter Barry Hearn promising a "lavish and magnificent" event.

Team GB Olympians Max Whitlock and Amy Tinkler will be among those competing at London's O2 in April.

Matchroom chairman Hearn hopes the event will capitalise on the popularity of the sport following Rio 2016 where Britain won seven gymnastics medals.

"I cannot wait to put our unique stamp on this global event" he said.

Team Sky general manager Dave Brailsford has spoken to the BBC's sports editor Dan Roan after Sir Bradley Wiggins denied trying to gain an "unfair advantage" from being allowed to use a banned steroid.

Wiggins told the BBC's Andrew Marr Show he took the powerful anti-inflammatory drug triamcinolone for allergies and respiratory problems shortly before the 2011 and 2012 editions of the Tour de France and the 2013 Giro d'Italia.

He said he sought therapeutic use exemptions, external (TUEs) to "put himself back on a level playing field".

TUEs allow the use of banned substances if athletes have genuine medical need.

How golfer Arnold Palmer defined the relationship between sport and brands, becoming the first sportsman to use his fame to build a business empire.

The fourth and fifth rounds of the FA Cup could be played in midweek to allow more league football to take place at weekends, says English Football League chief executive Shaun Harvey.

Speaking at the Soccerex conference in Manchester, Harvey said his organisation "want as much weekend league football as possible".

He added: "The FA Cup is the key element in this debate. Potentially move rounds four and five to midweek to create space for more weekends."

On the possibility of a winter break, Harvey added: "Every draft schedule we have looked at leaves Christmas and New Year untouched. We would look to start after the FA Cup third round."

Bristol City's first-team coach John Pemberton says on-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham reminds him of Ian Wright.

Ex-defender Pemberton, 51, played with former England and Arsenal forward Wright while at Crystal Palace.

Abraham, 18, scored his 10th goal of the season on Saturday in City's 4-0 win at Fulham.

"Tammy is very much like Ian Wright with regard to being in the right place at the right time," said Pemberton.

The winner of snooker’s new English Open next month will receive the Steve Davis Trophy, in tribute to one of the sport’s all-time greats who retired this year.

Six-time world champion Davis was given a standing ovation in April when he announced his farewell to the professional game at the scene of his greatest victories, the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

The English Open has been introduced as part of the brand new Home Nations Series and will see the best in the world battling it out at Event City in Manchester from 10-16 October.

Along with the £70,000 first prize, the players will be fighting it out to be the first name on the Steve Davis Trophy.

Leading architect Ruben Reddy has said the London Stadium must have its athletics track removed if West Ham are ever to have the kind of atmosphere they want.

West Ham’s move from Upton Park has suffered a number of problems, with security a main issue.

Slaven Bilic’s side have already lost three times at the stadium, the latest setback coming against Southampton on Sunday.

Reddy, who helped build the stadiums for the Sochi Olympics, said: “They will have to change it. You will never get the atmosphere right as it currently is.

“You shouldn’t keep the athletics track with the notion that some great athletics event is going to return. That is why I am saying that stadiums should not be looked at as multi-use with athletics and football. You can have football and rugby. If you want to keep an athletics track, put a cricket oval in there."

West Ham have a 99-year lease on the stadium but athletics events have priority from the last Friday in June to the end of July each year under a 50-year agreement. The stadium is owned by E20 Stadium LLP, a joint venture between the London Legacy Development Corporation and Newham Council

Tottenham striker Harry Kane remains sidelined with an ankle injury for the side's Champions League group game at CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.

Spurs will also be missing left-back Danny Rose plus midfielders Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Moussa Sissoko.

Dier, Rose and Dembele are absent with hamstring injuries.

Sissoko suffered concussion in a league win at Middlesbrough on Saturday and is also out as Spurs try to recover from an opening Group E defeat by Monaco.

Gary Player has paid tribute to his "great friend" Arnold Palmer after the death of the seven-time Major winner at the age of 87.

Player, Palmer and Jack Nicklaus were known as the 'big three' of golf in the 1960s and won 34 Major titles between them.

Although acknowledging "it's a sad day", Player told Radio 5 live's Afternoon Edition: "We've got to rejoice - he had a wonderful life.

"He and I were friends for 60 years and travelled the world together, we laughed together, we cried together. 

"He was probably the most patient athlete with people - they loved him and he loved them."

Watford boss Walter Mazzarri believes tonight's game will be a good chance for him to gauge how his team is progressing.

The Hornets have won their last two matches.

Mazzarri said: "We have shown that we can fight against anyone, but the real step forward I want to see is how we will behave against a club like Burnley.

"I haven't been here long and I need to verify the progress of this team, and we will see on Monday night what the progress is."

Burnley go into tonight's game looking for their second win of the season.

The Clarets, who are without the suspended Andre Gray for the next four games, lost 3-0 at Leicester last time out.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche played and managed the Hornets and has no hard feelings about his sacking by the club in 2012.

He said: "It's well-documented I've always had respect for the club.

"The situation, the business changed etc etc but I mean every word when I say I had a fantastic time there as player, youth coach, assistant manager and manager."
