    Tottenham have accepted the violent conduct charge against forward Moussa Sissoko, who will now be banned for three matches.

    Sissoko elbowed Bournemouth's Harry Arter on the touchline after coming on as a substitute in Saturday's 0-0 draw at the Vitality Stadium.

    The incident was not seen by the match officials.

    He will miss Tuesday's EFL Cup tie at Liverpool, Saturday's home league game against Leicester and the north London derby at Arsenal on 6 November.

    "Outside the top three or four they're the team people are talking about," he added.

    "They must take a lot of credit for the way they're bringing players through their academy, but they have also signed well. 

    "We go to Southampton, who are playing very well, and we know it'll be a tough task, but we've drawn there already this season."

    Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has some teams news for Tuesday's EFL Cup fourth-round tie against Liverpool at Anfield.

    Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld "is recovering but still out" after suffering a knee injury at West Brom on 15 October.

    Pochettino added: "Harry Kane is making progress. Marcus Edwards is out - an injury picked up before Leverkusen."

    David Moyes has said he'd like to avoid playing some of his senior players "if he can" during Wednesday's EFL Cup clash with Southampton.

    "We went to West Ham and gave them a game," Moyes said.

    "I think it was bad luck (the loss) this weekend, but we didn't do enough to deal with it.

    "We had worked really hard and played well in the second half. Overall there were good things and I'm sure it will improve."

    Wales will have their England-based players available to face Australia on 5 November after Premiership clubs agreed to a "one-off" change of policy.

    Premiership Rugby's usual rules do not allow non-English players to be released for matches that fall outside World Rugby's Test window.

    However Northampton wing George North, Harlequins centre Jamie Roberts and Bath's injured Taulupe Faletau are now free to play.

    "We are showing flexibility to help a number of unions who have decided to play on this particular weekend but we must stress this is a one-off variation to the allowed window while discussions continue," a Premiership Rugby spokesman said.

    The former Arsenal midfielder has been ruled out for four months after ankle surgery, his club Marseille have said, external.  

    The Frenchman has made just six appearances for the Ligue 1 club since joining in July 2015.

    Andy Murray has been speaking to the Daily Telegraph, external about therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs), saying that athletes should publish their use of them as soon as they are granted.

    A TUE allows an athlete, for medical reasons, to take a prescribed substance or have treatment that is otherwise prohibited.  

    "I don’t think every TUE is bad, but there are TUEs that are abused, for sure," he told the paper.

    "And I do think that now is the time when all TUEs should be transparent."

    More from Jurgen Klopp's news conference to preview Tuesday's EFL Cup fourth-round tie against Spurs where Simon Mignolet will start after losing his place to Loris Karius recently.

    Klopp said: "He (Mignolet) is a very serious player, a good professional. He’s still not happy but you cannot see it in training. He is hard working and improving." 

    As for his own team's form (they are level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City), he said: "Nobody feels that it’s not possible to play better. We can defend better, we can attack better, we can create better. A better balance in the game.

    "If there weren’t things to improve we could go on holiday all week and then just meet on Saturdays."

    FA agrees overseas FA Cup rights dealpublished at 14:24

    The FA has agreed a new six-season overseas broadcast rights deal for the FA Cup.

    The deal will start from the 2018-19 season and will include rights for the Community Shield and FA Youth Cup.

    "It is not overstating it to say that it could have a transformational impact on what we are able to achieve across the country," FA chief executive Martin Glenn said.

    Marketing agency Pitch International will cover rights for western Europe, Middle East and North Africa, with IMG covering the rest of the world.

    Both will then subcontract deals to broadcasters while domestic rights will remain with the BBC and BT Sport.

    More on the news that Ireland coach Joe Schmidt has signed a new contract, takiing him up to the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

    Schmidt, 51, led Ireland to back-to-back Six Nations titles in 2014 and 2015 having been appointed coach in April 2013, taking over from Declan Kidney.  

    Ireland reached the quarter-finals of the 2015 World Cup, losing to Argentina. 

    Previously he guided the Irish province to two Heineken Cup titles, a Challenge Cup triumph and a Pro12 league win before taking the Ireland job.

    Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has signed a contract extension to continue with the side until the 2019 World Cup.

    Under Schmidt Ireland won two 6 Nations Championships in 2014 and 2015, as well as securing their first ever Test victory in South Africa.

    "I'd like to thank the IRFU for their patience and confidence as the decision to continue took somewhat longer than I'd anticipated," Schmidt said., external

    "It is difficult at times being so far away from extended family but we appreciate how lucky we are to have the support we have here in Ireland."
