RossLoweCopywriting: Would dearly love to see Derby get in a decent attacking winger and a striker in before the day is done

David: Wenger is being too good to Wilshere. Loyal throughout injuries and now lets him re-establish himself rather than provide depth

Liz Tray: Nasri, quite understandably, wanted more than a bit part. Sterling, Silva, Sane, Kevin DB, Ilkay, Toure, Ferna etc. No way in!

    Sunderland

"Today is the most beautiful day of my life,"  says Sunderland's new £13m+ signing Didier Ndong.

Obviously he can't wait to live on Wearside. Check out the National Glass Centre, Didier. It's smashing.

We've had a text from a 60s-inspired psych pop group who call themselves called Sgt Pep's Loanee Hart's Club Band. They're clearly inspired by our 14:19 entry. And they've been busy penning a new terrace hit...

    Chelsea

Ross Mooring, ChelseaFancast.com, external: "While the transfer rumour machine went into overdrive for Chelsea last night, the club hasn't officially signed anyone yet.

"Former Bolton player Marcos Alonso is apparently taking his medical at Chelsea's training ground, but the fans won't be happy if the Spaniard is the only one arriving given his uninspiring career path, even if he has Premier League experience and fills a need at left back.

"The Blues are also desperately in need of a centre-half and the touted move for David Luiz is still on the cards, while rumours have also linked the club to Valencia's Aymen Abdennour and West Ham's Angelo Ogbonna."
