  4. 'Derby not in for Ariyibi'published at 14:07 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

    Owen Bradley
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

Despite suggestions in north Derbyshire, we understand that Derby County won't be the destination of Chesterfield winger Gboly Ariyibi.

He's reportedly handed in a transfer request amid interest from Brentford, and while Derby might have had a look before, they've already moved on.

  5. 'Berahino to remain a Baggie'published at 14:03 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport

It seems Saido Berahino won’t be leaving West Brom today.

Stoke had been interested in the England Under-21 striker.

But Berahino wanted to move at the start of pre-season, when West Brom weren’t willing to sell.

And as the transfer window has dragged on, it has appeared increasingly likely Berahino would remain at the Hawthorns.

As I understand it, that is exactly what will happen.

  6. Postpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

How many times have we mentioned Saido Berahino so far today? Ten, 15 times? Well, maybe the will he-won't he saga is about to come to an end...

Matthew Duffy: Great to see some English players going abroad, I hope this becomes a trend. We need more English players getting game time.

Sheldon Serrao: No transfer window is ever complete without a mention of Peter Odemwingie. Aldershot with a last ditch bid you reckon?

Funny you should say that Sheldon, check out the 13:50 BST entry.

    Tottenham Hotspur

Alan Fisher, Tottenham On My Mind: "Spent the morning at the hospital with a tube stuck down my throat, the perfect metaphor for Spurs on deadline day.

"While I was occupied, Sissoko has gone from a cert to being a Chelsea player. Allegedly. Spurs seek to structure a deal, Chelsea pay more up front. Whatever, we won’t come close to their salary scales, so move on.

"To Germany for young midfielder Max Meyer or Manchester for Morgan Schneiderlin. As ever, Spurs juggling several options, in the past they’ve dropped all the balls. Me, I’m joining those tracking the club jet, supposedly en route to Madrid. It’s TDD and I believe every word of it."

Will Moulton: Not going to happen for a number of reasons (including injury) but I'd love to see Aaron Cresswell move to Liverpool today

Yeahbuddy: Would be good if @afcbournemouth could get @JackWilshere if he stayed fit but a centre back would be better.
