Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell helped the Bolt All-Stars win the 4x100m mixed relay on the second of three nights of the Nitro Athletics meeting in Melbourne.

A botched baton change in the mixed relay by Australia cost them overall victory on the night.

They were penalised 50 points after Jack Hale failed to legally pass the baton to Fabrice Lapierre in the second changeover, which saw them slip to second with 895 points overall, 35 behind the Bolt All-Stars, who also won the first meet last Saturday at Lakeside Stadium.

The six teams, including Japan, New Zealand, England and China, will conclude the series on Saturday when Bolt is set to also contest the individual 150m, having only run a leg of the relays in each of the first two meets.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the club have re-appointed Steve Hitchen as chief scout. Hitchen began work on Monday, resuming a role he previously performed under Harry Redknapp, but the appointment is not linked to Paul Mitchell's position as head of recruitment.

Mitchell tendered his resignation in August but is still serving a 16-month notice period at Spurs. He is due to stay until the end of the year but is unlikely to serve the full term as the club expect to find a replacement before then.

Hitchen worked under former director of football Damien Comolli at White Hart Lane and followed the Frenchman when he left for Liverpool in 2010.

His most recent role was as joint-director of recruitment at Derby alongside former Tottenham scout Rob Mackenzie, but he departed when Nigel Pearson was sacked as manager in October.

    How would you reform football?

Brobynite: I would introduce a reward system for using "home grown" talent. So all squads to have at least 65% UK players. I would bring in greater fines and disciplinary actions for breaking FFP.

Danny: Get rid of penalty shootouts. Nobody likes them!

Matthew Collins: Better incentives for winning FA Cup matches (shouldn't be necessary, but...) and put the final back to 3pm Sat.

He has got a good record against Wales, he had a superb game against them in May, he knows what he is going to expect from Wales and we’re looking forward to him making an impact to our back-row play. Tom Wood will also play his part later in the game off the bench as a finisher."
