James Ducker of The Telegraph on BBC Radio 5 live: The second half was almost comically bad from Arsenal's point of view. The only saving grace for Arsenal is that it was arguably marginally better than Barcelona's display against PSG.
There was some slick move and well-taken goals from Bayern, but there was so little pressure on the ball. Bayern were camped in Arsenal's third for most of the second half.

In the All Ireland Senior Gaelic Football Championship, Mayo have lost EIGHT finals in a row. The latest against Dublin last year where they lost a replay (after drawing the first game) by a single point. Painful.

More from Bob Wilson: "You have to point the finger at the players. When it comes down to a capitulation as this was they are letting the manager and the fans down.
"He’s hurt, he’s totally dedicated to doing what he’s done. With the amount of headlines coming his way he might just look at that and say ‘enough is enough’ because as a human being you can only take so much.
"He’s a very sensitive guy, you can argue other people have caught up. You won’t see him running up and down the touchline like a Conte or a Klopp but I doubt he will sleep very much between now and a horrible game on an artificial pitch at Sutton on Monday night."
Yet.

A decision on the future of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be made at the end of the season.
Despite Wednesday's Champions League last-16 first leg thrashing at Bayern Munich, there is currently no prospect of Wenger leaving before the summer.
The 67-year-old has already been offered a new contract and it remains on the table.
Although that suggests Wenger's future is entirely in his own hands, it is expected the decision for him to stay or leave will be mutual between the Frenchman and the club he has been in charge of for more than 20 years.
Wenger will address the media at a news conference on Friday morning (9am) to preview Monday's trip to non-league Sutton United in the FA Cup.

It looks like a thin hope that Sanchez and Ozil will sign new contracts. As for Wenger, his contract runs until the end of the season and I would be surprised if anything happened before then.
A couple of weeks ago, they were outplayed by Chelsea. Now they only have the FA up to play for. More than ever before it feels like the endgame is approaching for Wenger as Arsenal manager.
In light of what happened to Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson left, Arsenal might have to accept a dramatic change. The anti-Wenger lobby will this morning like they are close to a victory.

Back in the mid-eighties I picked the National winner five years on the trot, but never placed a bet. The next year I did put money on, and it fell at the first. Clearly betting is not for me!

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson on BBC Radio 5 live: "This was as much about Arsenal’s fragility as Bayern’s brilliance. Bayern have won their last 14 home CL games and are a brilliant side but apart from one brief spell for Arsenal it was a horror story.
"The big question is whether this tips Arsene over the edge. He’s a hugely intelligent man and he can only take so much, he lives for the club but his longevity in the job seems to be like a millstone when things go wrong."
Cheer up, misery.

You guys should get yourselves home. Just copy and paste any CL match report and reactions from any February in the last 5 years and apply it to last night. Not an Arsenal fan but admire Wenger and enough is enough. Becoming embarrassing.

It was just a terrible night for Arsenal and Wenger. They were fortunate to be 1-1 at half-time because Bayern dominated possession, but really got into their stride in the second half. It is a daunting prospect playing Bayern at the Allianz when they are in full flow.
Arsenal were bereft in the second half. Yes, they lost Koscielny, but it was at bad as it’s been for Arsenal under Wenger. It’s like watching a horror film that you have seen before, maybe several times, but it’s still just as frightening.
They lack leaders. When the fifth goal went in, Alexis Sanchez was down on his haunches, staring at the ground and looking like he would rather be anywhere else.

My concern for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal is when they get to the higher echelons of the Premier League and Champions League, they get found out. They’ve fallen behind.
Players won’t come to Arsenal if Chelsea, Manchester United, City or maybe even Liverpool want them. It’s been too long. The problem is keeping the couple they've got. The last caller wants Arsenal to sign Robert Lewandowski. In your dreams. The stagnation has been there too long.
It feels very close to the end, and I’ve never said that about Arsene Wenger before.
