Sunderland will keep fighting - Moyespublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Sunderland v Bournemouth (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Sunderland

Bottom of the table Sunderland look doomed but David Moyes is not throwing the towel in just yet.

"While we still have a chance we will keep fighting. We want a winning momentum and we want to rediscover that winning feeling," says Moyes.

"Supporters are entitled to vent their frustrations. Frustrations have been here for four to five years, the manager takes the brunt of that. All I want is the supporters to get behind the players to give them every chance of winning.

"We've played quite well recently and we hope it goes our way. We will need a really good run, but while there's a chance we will try."

  3. Chelsea on verge of Champions League returnpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Everton v Chelsea (Sunday, 14:05 BST)

    Chelsea

A draw or a win for Chelsea against Everton on Sunday guarantees Champions League football next season - "a good achievement" according to Blues boss Antonio Conte, but the Premier League title is clearly his main focus.

"When we started this season, our first target was to play in the Champions League next season" said Conte.

"It's an important target for the club, for the fans, for the players. But, for sure now, we stay in a position to try also to win the league.

"Obviously, with six teams between Chelsea, Tottenham, City, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, two strong teams won't play next season in the Champions League.”

"It's 11 games that we are not able to keep a clean sheet and, for this reason, it's important to improve, to work on the situations we're conceding the goals. I'm not concerned about this, but at the same time, we are working on it."

Are Everton Chelsea's toughest test left?published at 14:18 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Everton v Chelsea (Sunday, 14:05 BST)

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been addressing the media and started his news conference by confirming all his players are fit and available for Sunday's game at Everton.

Are the Toffees the toughest side the Premier League leaders have left to play?

"I don't know, but Everton are a really good team, a strong team, with great players in their squad and a physical team," said Conte.

"They have a good coach, a good manager. They play organised football. It will be a very tough game for us, for sure, but at the end of the season, every game becomes tough for many different reasons.”

"For us, it's very important to look at ourselves, prepare very well and arrive to play this game with great physical condition, good organisation, to know our tasks defensively and offensively.”

Selby restores two-frame leadpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

    Snooker

Steely stuff from Mark Selby as the reigning champion takes a nervy final frame of the session to take a 9-7 lead against Ding Junhui in their World Championship semi-final.

Having trailed 5-3 at one stage, it's been a terrific fightback from Selby today but Ding refuses to go away, delighting the Crucible with a superb 139 break this afternoon.

Next up on the baize from 14:30 BST is the second semi-final between John Higgins and Barry Hawkins.

The Scot currently leads the Hawk 5-3.

As Anthony Joshua gives his latest interview, Wladimir Klitschko is glaring over bodies at him and listening to every single word. He's not yet past the point of caring about what his rival has to say. Is he looking for that last crumb of motivation? That last word which may light even more fire in the belly.

Joshua finishes and for the first time this week we hear the Klitschko contingent in the crowd. "Klitschko, Klitschko, Klitschko," they chant. It's like a Rocky film, the villain of the stage is playing up to his public.

There were mutterings. As the pair faced off, this crowd began singing "oh Anthony Joshua" and all the while it seemed Wladimir Klitschko was muttering in the face of his rival.

It may well have been about the weather, it may have been friendly, whatever it was he made the first move. Those here picked up on it and their noise level went up that little more.

Everton need to change mentality - Koemanpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Everton v Chelsea (Sunday, 14:05 BST)

    Everton

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has just been talking to the media and is asked about the Premier League's top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku and whether he will still be at the club next season.

"I don't know, we will see what happens," says Koeman.

"The team performance last week (in the 0-0 draw at West Ham) was maybe the worst of the season. I don't like to make it individual about Lukaku or any other player. It is a team performance, not an individual performance.

"Maybe we need to change our mentality, I noticed a change in motivation and it can be difficult if you have seventh place in the pocket."

Luke Campbell makes weight but there's a problem,  Darleys Perez does not.

He took a big breath getting on the scales and had the demeanour of a man who has a problem. I think he will be weighed again later so he's probably nipped away to try to get a sweat on.

The bout is a WBA lightweight title eliminator. If Perez can't shift the timber, he may fight but not get the chance to compete for the title in his next bout even if he wins. One to keep an eye on.

Sublime stuff from the Chinese maestro Ding Junhui as he compiles a brilliant break of 139 to bring himself back to within one frame of Mark Selby at 8-7.

Selby's superb 85 had restored his two-frame lead at 8-6 but that's a heck of a way to respond from Ding.

A crucial final frame of the session is underway.

Chelsea result won't affect us - Pochettinopublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Tottenham v Arsenal (Sunday, 16:30 BST)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs will start the game against Arsenal knowing the result of Chelsea's earlier tie with Everton and therefore know if they could close the gap to one point this weekend.

But Mauricio Pochettino is certain his players will bring the same intensity to the North London derby, regardless of the Premier League leader's result.

"You cannot ignore Chelsea's game before us, but we played the day after they lost to Crystal Palace and it didn't affect our preparation," said Pochettino.

"The players are so focused and our energy must try to be on giving our best."

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking ahead of Sunday's North London derby against Arsenal at White Hart Lane.

He says his squad have improved their ability to focus on the task at hand after they stuttered in last year's title run-in.

"We need a win to keep fighting for the title," said Pochettino.

"I don't remember last season too much - we're focused on a completely different season and a new moment.

"The team have improved a lot from last season, we can feel that."

Wales is pinning a lot of hope on Joe Cordina, who weighs in confidently ahead of his second professional fight.

He will open the Wembley card in a four rounder and promises to be "electric".

And he's clued up on a key stat. Less than three years ago when Carl Froch met George Groves at Wembley Stadium, the first fight on the card featured Anthony Joshua. That's the way Joe, dream big.

I spent a little time with Joe at the Rio Games. He likes the saying "keep working until you no longer need to introduce yourself."

The crowd remain in check. No singing, no rowdy stuff just yet. Our heavyweights are a little while away from entering though so things will likely change.

Remember, Wladimir Klitschko has never experienced a crowd of 90,000. For all his experience, this is a level up in occasion for both men.
