What will happen in the rest of this season and why?

Daniel Woods: For Stoke City it seems we need to win to keep our dignity. Playing for nothing, again!

Andrew Neill: A two-day conversation between Benitez and Ashley as Rafa tries to explain to Mike why the current Newcastle team isn't good enough for the Premier League.

David Melton: Liverpool contrive to miss out on Europe again, but's that OK because it will give them a huge advantage next season!

What will happen in the rest of this season and why?

Indtram: An uphill struggle to finish in top four. An Arsenal fan. If we do it, Wenger can hold his head high and ride into the sunset.

Oakeswell: WBA - finish 8th. Spend the close season looking for a striker, then end up buying another defensive midfielder instead.

Steven McNamara: Harry 'one major trophy' Redknapp will keep Birmingham up and go on as though it's a Leicester league-winning like achievement.

Something for Kimi Raikkonen to smile about. Maybe.

The Ferrari man was the fastest in the first practice session before the Russian Grand Prix.

Raikkonen was 0.045 seconds quicker than compatriot Valtteri Bottas in the Mercedes as Lewis Hamilton went off track at least three times, but did manage to become third quickest.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, who has the championship lead, spun at Turn 16 late in the session and was fifth fastest.

Red Bull pairing Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were fourth and sixth fastest respectively.

Clear enough. That's that from Leicester.

West Brom v Leicester (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Craig Shakespeare is of course once again asked about his future at Leicester beyond the end of the season - no rise from Foxes boss yet though.

“My future will take care of itself, but the most important thing is the club’s future," said Shakespeare.

“I haven’t had any conversations about recruitment.

“We need to sit down at the end of the season. I’ll have my opinions. Strong opinions. But that’s on the back burner for now."

Leicester captain Wes Morgan has been battling a stretched hamstring and a back injury recently so boss Craig Shakespeare says the centre-back is "touch and go" to play against West Brom.

"If he joins in today, it'll be a late shout for tomorrow," said Shakespeare.

"I won't put him at risk, but knowing his character, he'll want to play.

"He’ll be given every opportunity to prove his fitness. I expect him to be ready."

Leicester 'desperate' to get a result - Shakespearepublished at 10:31 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

West Brom v Leicester (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Champions Leicester have had a pretty miserable Premier League season as they are 15th in the table, only six points above the relegation zone.

Boss Craig Shakespeare said: "It's important to the fans, staff and players for us to finish on a high. Momentum is massive in football.

"West Brom are well organised and have had a good season. We know what we are in for.

"I spent a large part of my career there as a player and coach, so I have fond memories. But we're desperate to get a result."

Lovren looks to the futurepublished at 10:23 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

    Football

    Liverpool

After signing a new deal to 2021, Dejan Lovren has big ambitions with Liverpool.

"We are not here just to play the games and to be in the middle of nowhere because of the quality of the team and a top manager, who won almost everything with Dortmund," said Lovren.

“Next season, we will again try to reach as many points as possible, but firstly to finish this season well and qualify for the Champions League.

“When Jurgen came in, he changed me a lot. Not just me, he changed a lot of players with the mentality, working hard on the pitch, on the training ground and he is still fresh here because it’s only a year and half, but everyone has seen the big difference.

“With his ideas and plans, and also with the club, it can be a positive thing in the end.”

Lovren an 'outstanding defender' - Klopppublished at 10:13 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

    Football

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp seems to be a happy chappy with the news that Dejan Lovren has signed until 2021.

“Dejan is a big presence for us on the pitch and in the dressing room – this is wonderful news that he has committed to Liverpool for such a long time,” said Klopp.

“It is our intention to build this squad around the great talent we already have. We want to keep our core together. I am really pleased Dejan has become the latest to recognise that Liverpool is a place where players can achieve their dreams and goals.

“He is an outstanding defender and someone who, I believe, still has his best times to come as a player. He has all the assets a top centre-half needs in the modern game.

“He has already enjoyed some great moments at this club, but he, like all of us, is hungry to win trophies for Liverpool. I love this hunger and desire and look forward to seeing it translate to great performances for the team in the coming years.”

What will happen in the rest of this season and why?

For today's Sportsday debate we are asking you to predict what will happen to your team for the rest of this season.

Here are some of your early comments...

Tom Bushell: The season will be a failure if LFC don't finish in the top 4. Think we'll scrape it purely based on fixtures others have left.

Kristian Lamb: Boro relegated due to not scoring enough goals and not turning enough draws into wins.

Carla: We'll finish just outside the play-off places after an inconsistent season. Strengthen in summer, smash it next season! @NorwichCityFC, external

  19. Pulis not worried about scoring droughtpublished at 09:46 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

West Brom v Leicester (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom have not scored in four matches - indeed they've gone goalless in April - but Tony Pulis is not fazed.

"We are creating chances. We have to put the ball in the back of the net. I'd be worried if we weren't making chances," said the Baggies boss.

On transfers this summer, he added: "It's not just getting players, it's getting good players. That's the important bit. You have to be careful with the money.

And on Saturday's challenge: "Leicester played really well on Wednesday at Arsenal. They've got some great players. They're the champions of England"

Short and sweet from Pulis, another presser down.

West Brom v Leicester (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    West Bromwich Albion

Tony Pulis is so punctual for his news conference, he's actually turned up early - here's what the West Brom boss has had to say.

First up, a bit of team news, with Matt Phillips and Hal Robson-Kanu set to miss Saturday's game against Leicester and possibly next week too.

"It's a blow for us. Picking up any injuries in training is disappointing," said Pulis. "But Salomon Rondon has the chance to come in and score goals.

"He is a great lad and everybody likes him around the place. He just needs a goal. All strikers go through periods when they don't score. He needs one for confidence."
