'We showed everybody we have the mental strength'published at 09:35 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Tottenham v Arsenal (Sunday, 16:30 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal have won three matches in a row and could scupper the Premier League title hopes of fierce rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

"I expect an open, committed match with high pace and there could be goals as both teams play positive football," says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who again refuses to give any information on his future with his current contract expiring at the end of the season.

"The last two games have been very important for us. We got positive results and we need to fight. We built some belief and showed everybody we have the mental strength. We have shown persistence, tenacity, a desire to win and keep going at any cost.

"We know what is needed for us until the end of the season. We will not sit back, we will try to go forward and win the game."

  2. Howe pleased with Boruc extensionpublished at 09:28 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Sunderland v Bournemouth (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Bournemouth

Eddie Howe is a happy man as Artur Boruc has extended his contract through to summer 2018.

"We're really pleased for Artur, he's been so consistent for us and in really good form. He's won us points this season," said Howe.

But don't expect Howe to be distracted by the big fight on Saturday night at Wembley.

"I'm not a boxing fan, it's one sport I don't follow. I do appreciate and respect the training, but the focus is on us," he added.

And that's your lot from Howe. On to the next one...

Arsenal can still make top three - Wengerpublished at 09:19 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Tottenham v Arsenal (Sunday, 16:30 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League table, five points off the Champions League places but with a game in hand on Manchester City in fourth.

The Gunners face second-placed Tottenham on Sunday and Wenger is not giving up on Champions League qualification.

"I don't think the top three is decided, we have an opportunity to be in there but only if we win the games," says the Frenchman.

"We don't have to speculate on who is in and not and there is a lot that can happen. It is simple for us, the only advantage is we don't have to calculate, we just have to win our games."

Howe wants to break 40-point mark this weekendpublished at 09:16 British Summer Time 28 April 2017

Sunderland v Bournemouth (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe isn't taking anything for granted despite his side being seven points clear of the drop on 38 points, while Sunderland are stranded 12 points from safety.

"I won't accept we're safe until it's mathematically done. We'd love to get over the 40 point barrier this weekend though," said Howe.

"Any away game in the Premier League is difficult. While there's hope for Sunderland they'll keep going, it will be tough.

"We've been slightly more inconsistent than we'd have liked, but I see progression in the team and we're going the right way."

Stoke City v West Ham (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Stoke City

Mark Hughes has been talking to the media before his side's home game against West Ham on Saturday with the Potters in contention for another campaign finishing in the top 10.

"I've said for a number of weeks if we get a top-10 finish then it will be a record four times on the trot for this club," says Hughes. "We always look ahead and forward to what we can achieve. Our focus is to finish strongly and end the season in the top 10.

"The mood is fine. We're looking forward to the game tomorrow. We were disappointed with the result last weekend (a 2-0 loss to Swansea) but I expect us to react.

"Slaven Bilic is an experienced manager and knows this league. A number of clubs have had a similar season to West Ham ourselves included."

The Times have a slightly different look at Fellaini's sending-off, highlighting that the headbutt came only 19 seconds after he had picked up a yellow card.

The Express said that West Ham want Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, but the Times say a key man could be leaving the London Stadium, with versatile Michail Antonio wanting to leave the Hammers.

Apparently he has rejected a new contract as he wants to be on the same wages as January signings Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte.
