    Earlier today, Portuguese paper Record reported that Manchester United had reached an agreement with Benfica to sign 22-year-old defender Victor Lindelof for £33m.

    Hold your horses.

    It seems the Swede may be staying in Portugal after all.

    “There are rumours that there is always, at all times,” Lindelof has said to VLT in comments reported by the Manchester Evening News., external

    “I will say the same thing I always do, I have a contract with Benfica.

    “I have played there for five years and really enjoy myself.

    “I’m still young and I feel I’m developing all of the time, football down there gives me a lot.

    “So my answer will always be that I get on very well at Benfica and that’s where my focus is.”

    Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness has been suspended from all football-related activity for three weeks for a post on social media.

    Wyness retweeted a video of Villa being denied a penalty with a caption asking if referees had "disabilities".

    The 59-year-old has also been fined £10,000 for what the FA deemed was an "aggravated breach" of its rules.
