    The reaction to Tiger Woods' recent arrest has been "disrespectful and unfair", according to former world number one Martin Kaymer.

    Woods, 41, winner of 14 majors, was found "asleep at the wheel" with the engine running when he was arrested on Monday in Florida.

    The American said it was because of a reaction to medication.

    Kaymer said:, external "Stop being so nasty. Try to help. We all want to see him happier and one day see him play golf again."

    Juan Martin del Potro has once again shown he's a proper lovely bloke.

    The Argentinian former US Open winner consoled opponent Nicolas Almagro after the Spaniard quit their French Open match in tears with a knee injury with the scores level.

    Del Potro helped a sobbing Almagro from the court, and said afterwards: "I told him that tennis is important, but health matters more than tennis in this case."

    Del Potro will now play Andy Murray in the third round.

    Yesterday the British press - us included - were reporting that Manchester United had suddenly realised that that their main striker was a 35-year-old with a serious knee injury and turned their attention from Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann to a more traditional target man.

    Today the Spanish outlet COPE , externalis reporting that the real story is that 26-year-old Griezmann has decided not to move after Atletico's transfer ban was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

    The truth is out there.
