Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner says the deal for Barnsley right back Andy Yiadom "is dead in this transfer window".

Wagner would not confirm if Yiadom had failed a medical. He hopes to sign another right back as cover for Tommy Smith with Martin Cranie injured for another four weeks. He may look inside the club for cover.

Wagner is "unbelievably excited" ahead of the club's first ever Premier League game at the John Smiths' Stadium where he expects the fans to be Premier League in their support.

Striker Steve Mounie has modelled himself on former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba - Wagner says "it is too early to mention Mounie and Drogba in the same sentence cue."
