"If the window closed now we would be stronger than last season. We have still got time to bring more in and we are still in the market."

Stoke have signed Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on a free transfer, Bruno Martins Indi and Josh Tymon both for £7m this summer and have also brought Kurt Zouma and Jese Rodriguez in on season-long loans.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has hinted at a new signing: "Baily Cargill has gone to gain some experience with Fleetwood Town and we certainly wish him well and that he enjoys his loan.

"Our plan was to get our business done early and we were able to do that.

"There may be one position that we may look to strengthen but it is not a guarantee and we will have to see what happens."
