Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV

It is bittersweet taking a medal away but it wasn't the one Britain wanted. They are in a position in this race that they deserve.

It was technically a better race than the last round. They will not have wanted the bronze though.

They wanted gold, but at least Great Britain manage to pick up a bronze medal in the men's team pursuit.

The four of Ethan Hayter, Steven Burke, Kian Emadi and Charlie Tanfield pick up GB's second medal of the day in cycling. They finish in a time of three minutes 57.463 seconds, well clear of the Germans' effort of 4.00.007. A case of what might have been for GB though.

I think Great Britain have more to give than their previous time. They would have finished with a better time if they had had a more even pace. They are in control at the moment.

The British quartet of Ethan Hayter, Steven Burke, Kian Emadi and Charlie Tanfield made a great start in their semi-final against Italy, but got pipped out on the chance to go for gold. So it is now only the bronze on offer for Great Britain. Germany are standing in their way.
