And now Patrick Mahomes is sacked! A big loss as well. They'll have to punt it now, can't even take the three. Sloppy.

First down! Patrick Mahomes is in trouble, flushed out of the pocket, almost sacked but he somehow finds a pass over the middle to Sammy Watkins! Great play.

New England's coach Bill Belichick is the main factor. Obviously they have a great quartrback in Tom Brady who is still able to do it at the top level. If you have those two in your team you're going to be able to win a whole bunch of games every year.

Brady has stayed healthy, the team has been relatively healthy. That's been a big help.

Lovely bit of Ozzy on the Arrowhead PA as the crowd try and gee up their defence. Patriots have the ball on halfway, and they're stopped on third down. We know what's coming though, right?

Incredible! Tom Brady is almosy sacked, he throws a pass the wrong side of James White, who is looking the other way, but somehow catches it anyway! With one hand.

They just convert third downs as a matter of course.

Tom Brady has the ball back on his own 26-yard line. Here come the Patriots once more. Incredibly, 36 members of the Pats squad has played in the AFC Championship game before.

Not one Chief has. That experience is showing at the moment, although Brady is almost picked off but it lands safe!

Andrew Priestley: If the Patriots can beat the Chiefs tonight, in Arrowhead Stadium, against the most productive offence in the league, in -8 degree cold, then they can most certainly beat the Rams in the Superbowl. The Patriots’ familiarity in the big game would make them favourites.
