ICYMI, the Cleveland Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier to secure a play-off spot for the first time since 2002.

That ended the NFL's longest active post-season drought.

"We wanted this. I could see that determination," Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said. "It's not over. We've got work left to do. I like how this team responds when their back is up against the wall."

The Baltimore Ravens also won to book their place in the post-season.

  2. That's a recordpublished at 23:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Houston Texans 28-31 Tennessee Titans

Brandin Cooks showing that he's a superb receiver after topping the 1,000-yard mark with his fourth different team. That's consistency.

  3. touchdown

Touchdown Saintspublished at 23:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Carolina Panthers 7-33 New Orleans Saints

And a New Orleans defeat is looking very unlikely. Drew Brees has just hit Austin Carr for an 11-yard touchdown.

  4. touchdown

Touchdown Seahawkspublished at 23:53 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

San Francisco 49ers 16-12 Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks hit straight back, Russell Wilson passing to Tyler Lockett for the touchdown. They need both New Orleans and Green Bay to lose to snatch the NFC's top seed though.

  5. field goal

Field goal Ramspublished at 23:49 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Los Angeles Rams 18-7 Arizona Cardinals

The Rams kick a field goal to stretch their lead to 11.

And with the season on the line, Kyler Murray hobbles back into the fray for Arizona. They must win to make the play-offs.

  6. touchdown

Touchdown Chargerspublished at 23:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 14-31 Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert is at it again as he hits Mike Williams with a 48-yard touchdown pass and the Chargers are looking at laying a beat down on the Super Bowl champions.

Admittedly it's the second team of the Chiefs, bit now how you want to round off a season, and time will tell if the three-week break Patrick Mahomes and company will have will be too much.

  7. touchdown

Touchdown Texanspublished at 23:46 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Houston Texans 28-31 Tennessee Titans

We've got ourselves a ball game here folks! David Johnson runs in a one-yard score and the lead is just three points for Tennessee. Even more amazing is that the score came off a Derrick Henry fumble.

The Titans are close to playing their way out of a home play-off game.

  8. touchdown

Touchdown 49erspublished at 23:45 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

San Francisco 49ers 16-6 Seattle Seahawks

Finally there's a touchdown at San Francisco's makeshift home in Arizona, Jeff Wilson Jr. getting in from seven yards to cap an 11-play drive.

  9. Sanders pockets bonuspublished at 23:43 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Carolina Panthers 7-26 New Orleans Saints

Saints receiver Emmanuel Sanders just celebrated after making a regulation catch, his eighth of the day.

Turns out he needed eight today to reach 60 for the season - and a $500,000 bonus. No wonder he's celebrating!

  10. touchdown

Touchdown Texanspublished at 23:39 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Houston Texans 21-31 Tennessee Titans

For as bad as Houston have been this season, they do have some playmakers - Deshaun Watson and Brandin Cooks are two of those and they connect for a second time as Cooks takes in a 20-yard touchdown catch.

The two-point conversion is good and it's a 10-point game.

  11. touchdown

Touchdown Saintspublished at 23:36 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Carolina Panthers 7-26 New Orleans Saints

Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is intercepted by New Orleans cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

And utility man Taysom Hill makes the former Saints back-up pay, rushing for 15 yards, then another three, to claim his eighth rushing touchdown of the season.

  12. Postpublished at 23:33 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Chicago Bears 16-21 Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers has been superb so far, but almost throws an interception on back-to-back plays before the Packers are forced to punt.

Chance now for the Bears. Can they clinch a play-off spot without relying on Arizona losing?

  13. touchdown

Touchdown Titanspublished at 23:29 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Houston Texans 15-31 Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill scrambles in from five yards out after another big run from Derrick Henry, who is now over 200 yards for the game and is just 22 yards short of making it to the 2,000-yard mark.

  14. field goal

Field goal Saintspublished at 23:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Carolina Panthers 7-19 New Orleans Saints

The Saints look comfortable in Charlotte, Wil Lutz has kicked field goals either side of half-time to put them 12 points clear.

  15. touchdown

Touchdown Jaguarspublished at 23:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Indianapolis Colts 20-14 Jacksonville Jaguars

Mike Glennon to Laviska Shenault Jr - again! That's now a six-point gap and just getting a little bit tight now for the Colts. Dolphins fans suddenly sitting up and taking notice of their Florida neighbours.

  16. field goal

Field goal Bearspublished at 23:21 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Chicago Bears 16-21 Green Bay Packers

Mitch Trubisky leads Chicago to an 87-yard drive but the Bears still have to settle for a field goal from Cairo Santos.

  17. touchdown

Touchdown Titanspublished at 23:18 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Houston Texans 9-24 Tennessee Titans

One of the easier touchdowns Derrick Henry will score as he wasn't even touched as he strolled in from six yards to put clear daylight between the two teams.

Will the Titans be tempted to give Henry a rest now? It'd be a brave move as he chases down the 2,000-yard rushing mark.

  18. field goal

Field goal 49erspublished at 23:17 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

San Francisco 49ers 9-6 Seattle Seahawks

Seattle kicked themselves to a 6-0 lead but San Francisco's Tristan Vizcaino has made a field goal right before the interval, then two more in the third quarter, to put the 'hosts' in front in Arizona.

  19. Play-off picture - As it standspublished at 23:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

As we enter the second half of the late games here's how the play-off picture currently looks.

    AFC

    1. Chiefs (14-1)
    2. Bills (13-3)
    3. Steelers (12-4)
    4. Titans (11-5)
    5. Ravens (11-5)
    6. Browns (11-5)
    7. Colts (11-5)

Only the number four and seven spots are up for grabs and it'll be the Titans and Colts in those unless Indianapolis loses, allowing Miami in at seven.

    NFC

    1. Packers (12-3)
    2. Saints (11-4)
    3. Seahawks (11-4)
    4. Washington (6-9) / Giants (6-10)
    5. Buccaneers (11-5)
    6. Rams (9-6)
    7. Bears (8-7)

Still plenty up for grabs here with only the Buccaneers cemented in fifth spot. Green Bay are heading for top spot while the Bears will still make it if Arizona lose against the Rams. Washington need to win the late game to edge out the Giants.
