  1. touchdown

Touchdown - Steelerspublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Denver Broncos 6-24 Pittsburgh Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger is still getting beat up but he's sticking in there, as he always has, and toughing it out - including when firing a dart of a pass to Chase Claypool for another Pittsburgh touchdown.

And talk about hanging tough - Claypool was in all kinds of heavy traffic and took a big hit as he caught tha TD pass but held on brilliantly.

  3. Turnover - three of them!published at 20:13 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Philadelphia Eagles 6-15 Carolina Panthers

    It's turnover city in Carolina.

Devonta Smith fumbles for the Eagles. Carolina recover but can't do much with the ball.

Not long after, Donte Jackson picks off Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Then, seconds later, the Eagles have the ball back as Darius Slay intercepts Sam Darnold for the second time today.

Not a game for the offenses this one. Just the one touchdown so far.

Andrew Priestley: There are some serious questions to be answered in Foxborough it seems.

Chalk and cheese from last week's encouraging Patriots display against Tampa Bay.

  6. touchdown

Touchdown - Dolphinspublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

Miami Dolphins 17-24 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Miami back in it in the Florida derby.

Preston Williams almost hauls in a Jacoby Brissett pass to the corner of the endzone but he was having his shirt tugged by Richard Sherman, who is flagged for pass interference.

That gives Miami the ball on the one-yard line and, on second down, Brissett beats the blitz by floating a pass to Myles Gaskin for the running back's second touchdown tonight.

  7. Turnover - for Detroitpublished at 20:04 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Detroit Lions 6-13 Minnesota Vikings

Detroit are hanging in there against Minnesota as they bid to end their winless start.

A Kirk Cousins pass is deflected up in the air and Alex Anzalone takes a diving pick.

  8. field goal

Field goalspublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

Patriots 12-22 Texans: Nick Folk converts from 52 yards out, only a couple of yards closer than that kick he missed at the end of the Buccaneers game. Maybe the strain from that contest is still in the legs of the Pats as they struggle here.

Packers 19-14 Bengals: Mason Crosby sends a kick over from 44 yards to stretch the slender Packers lead to five points - still not a big lead but the Bengals have really brought it to them today.

  9. touchdown

Touchdown - Titanspublished at 19:59 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Tennessee Titans 31-13 Jacksonville Jaguars

We did say try stopping Derrick Henry earlier, and he's just shown why he's so hard to stop as the Jags allow him to get a head of steam up and he just bulldozes his way over the line from nine yards.

He came flying through the line like a steam train to further enhance his incredible scoring record against Jacksonville - it's the stuff of nightmares for the Jags.

Quick update on New Orleans' Taysom Hill who suffered that nasty hit earlier - he will play no further part in the game in Washington due to a concussion.

  12. touchdown

Touchdown - Texanspublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

New England Patriots 9-22 Houston Texans

Of course the poor Houston Texans, who drew a blank last week, are putting up points on Bill Belichick's Patriots defence, with a rookie QB no less...anything can happen in the NFL!

Even better, it's a flea flicker trick play! Chris Conley catches the final forward pass from Davis Mills for a 37-yard score and a big lead for Houston.

  13. 'We like the player Pitts is becoming'published at 19:46 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

FT: New York Jets 20-27 Atlanta Falcons

BBC Sport at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Falcons owner Arthur Blank was sat amongst the media as coach Arthur Smith praised the impact of rookie tight end Kyle Pitts, who was named the game's star man in London after claiming 119 receiving yards and his first NFL touchdown in the absence of Atlanta's top two receivers.

"Kyle stepped up, he and (Cordarrelle) Patterson both," Smith said. "We'll continue to evolve offensively, and this was good.

"Kyle won his one-on-one match-ups and made some big-time plays for us. It's a long game. Everybody wants the hot take after week one but you've got to see continued improvement.

"That's why Kyle's here (Atlanta). We like the player he's becoming and he'll continue to improve."

Smith added: “It was a big-time stadium and atmosphere. We love coming over here. It’s spectacular, and we get treated so well.”

FT: New York Jets 20-27 Atlanta Falcons

BBC Sport at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan, who passed Eli Manning to go eighth on the all-time list for passing yards today, has now spoken to the media and loved his day in London.

“It was incredible," he said. "This stadium is beautiful and the atmosphere was really cool.

“The (pre-game) flyover was probably the best I’ve ever seen. Those planes were tight to the stadium. That got my juices going.

“I’ve played here twice now and it’s always a special event. I’ve got to say a great thank you to everyone who makes it what it is.”

  16. Turnover for Vikingspublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Detroit Lions 6-13 Minnesota Vikings

Not a good start to the second half for Detroit as Jared Goff is picked off by Eric Hendricks, who produces a superb one-handed interception to give the Vikings the ball back.

  17. touchdown

Touchdown - Saintspublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    New Orleans Saints 20-13 Washington

Hail Mary alert! Oh my goodness!

With five seconds of the first half remaining and no chance of a field goal given he's at midfield, Jameis Winston launches one high into the endzone.

Marquez Callaway positions himself superbly in front of a gaggle of Washington defenders to haul it in. What a play to end the half.

  18. field goal

Field goal - Eaglespublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Philadelphia Eagles 6-15 Carolina Panthers

Jake Elliott has a reputation for kicking long field goals and he adds another to his collection from 58 yards.

Philadelphia will be very relieved to get out of this just nine points down at half-time as they've been pretty much outplayed by the Panthers.

  19. touchdown

Touchdown - Steelerspublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Denver Broncos 6-17 Pittsburgh Steelers

Rookie running back Najee Harris takes the high road from one yard out as he dives over the top of the pile to score the second TD of the game for Pittsburgh to give them just a little breathing room.

Denver haven't really got going yet with the home defence all over them so far.

  20. Turnover for Tampa Baypublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

Miami Dolphins 10-24 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay's defensive front is a scary prospect at times.

Miami are pushing for a score before half-time to reduce their deficit but Shaq Barrett strip sacks Jacoby Brissett and Ndamukong Suh recovers the fumble.

A couple of plays later a Tom Brady run with five seconds of the half remaining gives Ryan Succop a 60-yard field goal chance but it drops just left of the posts.
