There's just been another pitchside interview, during which we hear that "the Jets need Zach Wilson to start making some plays, which he hasn't done yet". Everyone in the stadium must have heard that, including Wilson. The disrespect!

That fella might be getting a tap on the shoulder later if the struggling New York quarterback can mastermind a turnaround here.

That familiar three and out feeling for the Jets as they kick it back to Atlanta as the clock winds down to the end of the third quarter.

Oh no, no, no Zach Wilson, you do not throw that ball across the field in the backfield when there's a Falcons defender right there.

I know it's a quick pass situation, but you can't just trust that the defence are going to bite on it, just a glance up would've been enough to see that the ball should in no way have gone back there.

Jets lose six yards on that play.

These two teams are showing exactly why they've only won a game each this season.

  4. Turnover - Falcons fumblepublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

New York Jets 9-20 Atlanta Falcons

It's another Falcons fumble as running back Mike Davis spills the ball and the Jets recover through Carl Lawson.

What did we say about Atlanta managing to lose big leads? Well, they're at it again and doing everything they can to let the Jets back into this game.

The Falcons were just about to enter the red zone too...

I've met Matt Ryan, he's huge, and while he's not quick, once those big legs get moving he can certainly cover the ground like a loping giraffe. A giraffe couldn't make that throw to Tajae Sharpe on the run though.

Definitely not on a third down anyway. Great work by the veteran.

  6. Postpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

New York Jets 9-20 Atlanta Falcons

The last time the Falcons visited London, they let slip a 21-0 half-time lead to lose 22-21 to the Detroit Lions, in 2014.

They only led by 17 points at the break here, that's down to 11 now - and could be cut further soon...

  7. NFL fans in the UKpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

It's a Super Bowl atmosphere in London in as much as there's no real dominant team being supported - all the UK and European fans come wearing the colours of their own teams.

The Jaguars have attracted a lot of support but fans who have watched the game for a while won't be changing any time soon.

It may be one reason why a team being based in London has slipped down the NFL's agenda.

New York Jets 9-20 Atlanta Falcons

That's what we came to see, Zach Wilson launching a bomb down field - but it's just off target when aiming for Corey Davis in the end zone.

This seems to be where Wilson is at his best, rolling out of the pocket and unleashing the big throws forward. Not to be this time though.

The Jets have to punt it away.

  9. Awful puntpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

New York Jets 9-20 Atlanta Falcons

I'm usually one to defend kickers and punters as they have a lot of pressure on them, but Falcons punter Dustin Colquitt has one job, and he's messed that up here with an awful slice of a punt that goes hardly anywhere and gives the Jets excellent field position.

    Officially it's a 24-yard punt...

Perfect start to the second half by the Jets. If their defence can get a stop now they'll be right back in it.

Before this drive they were in a huddle for quite a while, trying to make sure they can make it happen.

  11. Fumble!published at 16:22 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

Hayden Hurst is now a confirmed dropper as he fumbles again in a tackle, but he's so very lucky to see the ball bobble out of bounds before a Jets defender can get the paws on it.

Hurst is a lucky boy, he may not get as many looks from Ryan though.

The Jets just can't help but do Jets-like things though can they? So naturally enough Matt Ammendola hits the post with the extra point...

That's more like it! The Jets get a touchdown with running back Ty Johnson walking it in from a yard out.

They'd been banging the ball up the middle but this time when the big men up front moved the pile to the left, Johnson looked up and simply went the other way and there was nobody near him as he scored his first TD of the season.

  14. Jets into the red zonepublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

New York Jets 3-20 Atlanta Falcons

Set up by the big run back, the Jets are trying to smash their way into the end zone as they get a first down at about the three-yard line.

Karl: As Falcons fans, we all know something ridiculous will happen & we'll lose this.

Wayne Ellis: New NFL fans, this is normal for the Jets. Trust me, I’ve suffered through 36 years of it.

Not much optimism from either side here...

  16. Great play!published at 16:13 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

New York Jets 3-20 Atlanta Falcons

What a start to the second half for the Jets as Tevin Coleman takes the opening kick-off 65 yards to set them up in great field position.

If you've not been to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it really is everything that everyone says it is.

It's a monster, took me almost 10 minutes to walk round it. And while there's no parking space for tailgating like at Wembley in years gone by, the anticipation was really building pre-match.

Then once inside, it's a football coliseum, the sightlines look superb all around. Check out this view from the press box. It's almost like they planned it.

Some stats, unsurprisingly all in Atlanta's favour after a dominant first half, with Matt Ryan and Kyle Pitts the stars. Pitts has six catches for 64 yards and a score.

    • Matt Ryan: 189 passing yards, two TDs
    • Falcons: 62 rushing yards
    • Zach Wilson: 42 passing yards, 1 INT
    • Jets: 38 rushing yards

The Falcons kicker has landed two field goals and two conversions to help put Atlanta in control - surely even Son hasn't been on target four times in one game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium??
