They block, they catch and they score - the tight end does it all in the NFL. Well, almost!

Once a blocker who could occasionally catch the odd ball on a short throw over the middle, the modern tight end is more a big-bodied receiver who is a massive touchdown threat, but who is the best?

Travis Kelce stands out, but what about Darren Waller, George Kittle, and, of course, Rob Gronkowski? Let us know who gets your vote by using #bbcnfl on Twitter., external

  4. Patriots searching for first home winpublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 24 October 2021

New York Jets v New England Patriots (18:00 BST)

The Jets go from England to New England as they renew their rivalry with the Patriots - who are desperate for a home win as they sit on the unbelievable mark of 0-4 at Gillette Stadium this season.

There have been some tough losses against some top teams but 0-4 is still 0-4 and Bill Belichick will be seething, and that could spell danger for Jets rookie Zach Wilson who was sacked four times in the first meeting this season.

The Jets are usually late to show up for games as they've been outscored 30-0 in the first quarter this season and 75-13 in the first half, you just simply can't turn up late for a game against the Pats.

  5. Big game atop the AFC Northpublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 24 October 2021

Cincinnati Bengals v Baltimore Ravens (18:00 BST)

The visiting Cincinnati Bengals are finally seeing the fruits of their patience pay off as second year quarterback Joe Burrow and rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase have shown themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

The Baltimore Ravens have won five straight since their opening defeat at the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders. Lamar Jackson threw two interceptions and was sacked three times but the Ravens still trounced the Los Angeles Chargers 34-6 last week.

With the visiting Bengals one win behind the Ravens in the AFC North, it should an exciting one at the M&T Bank Stadium.

  7. Falcons hoping to keep play-off hopes alivepublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 24 October 2021

Atlanta Falcons v Miami Dolphins (18:00 BST)

The Atlanta Falcons are coming off a bye week after their 27-20 win over the New York Jets in London two weeks ago. It was a crucial result as, if they can beat the Miami Dolphins today, they will be 3-3 and potentially in the play-off hunt.

For the Miami Dolphins it has been a tailspin since their 17-16 opening day win over the New England Patriots. They handed the Jacksonville Jaguars their first win of the season in London last week and need a win here, even if it is just for the sake of morale.

It could be a tough one for Miami as they're up against Kyle Pitts, who had a breakout performance against the Jets, and the returning Calvin Ridley.

  8. Johnson stars for Browns in Thursday Night Footballpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 24 October 2021

D'Ernest Johnson, never heard of him? No? Not many had until Thursday night when he stepped up as Cleveland's lead running back with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt out injured.

But the Browns showed that their powerful offensive line can move enough bodies to give even their third-string back a chance to shine - and Johnson took that chance with both hands.

While the Packers will be looking sharp today, their football has been pretty sharp too as they're now 5-1 after that blowout loss to the Saints on the opening day of the season.

Aaron Rodgers has thrown 12 TDs and just one interception during this five-game winning streak and visiting Washington have allowed a whopping 186 points this season.

It could be a long day at Lambeau Field for the Football Team.

  13. Welcome to Week Seven!published at 17:23 British Summer Time 24 October 2021

Week Seven already, how did that happen?

Welcome NFL fans to another Sunday of gridiron greatness and we've got some absolutely belting games for you tonight.

Historically it's an important week if your team is currently sitting on a 3-3 record as over the last decade 107 of the 122 teams to make the play-offs have been sat on .500 records or better after seven weeks of the season.

Four teams are currently on hot streaks of five wins or more, with the Cardinals the only unbeaten side on 6-0 while the Ravens, Cowboys and Packers have all won five on the spin.

All of those bar the Cowboys are in action tonight, so sit back, strap in and let's get going on what should be another fantastic NFL Sunday.
