  1. Sack - Murray gets to Lawrencepublished at 02:07 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 17-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

It may be the start of the second quarter, but it is starting to feel desperate for the Jaguars and on third down, Kenneth Murray breaks through to sack Trevor Lawrence.

The punt is pressured once again and it is not a great one that lands at the Chargers 40-yard line.

  2. End of the first quarterpublished at 02:02 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 17-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Well, well, well, where do we start? It's been an absolute nightmare for Trevor Lawrence, who had eight interceptions in the regular season but has had three in the first 15 minutes of his play-off debut!

The Chargers defence really came to play and it's already backs-to-the-wall stuff for the Jaguars.

  3. touchdown

Touchdown - Chargerspublished at 01:57 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 17-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Austin Ekeler - again! The guy just loves scoring touchdowns and it's all too easy for him again as he sprints out to the left and finds acres of space to then just barge into the end zone.

  4. Turnover - Three interceptions!published at 01:55 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

That is NOT the hat-trick you want as Trevor Lawrence throws his third interception of the first quarter - and again it's Asante Samuel who grabs his second of the game.

This is a nightmare start for the former No.1 overall Draft pick.

  5. Austin powers into end zonepublished at 01:52 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Remarkable athleticism from Austin Ekeler earlier.

  6. Jags defence steps uppublished at 01:51 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 10-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Justin Herbert can't get going this time as the Jaguars defence forces a three-and-out. This defence has been their saviour over the last few weeks and if they can keep Jacksonville in this contest then we could have a game on.

  7. Jags have to puntpublished at 01:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 10-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Nothing too much doing for the Jags again and they have to kick it away - but it's a really short punt by Logan Cooke as it goes just 32 yards and gives LA good field position just inside their own half.

  8. field goal

Field goal - Chargerspublished at 01:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 10-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Just the three points from the second turnover as Herbert can't find his man in the end zone on third down - leaving Cameron Dicker to convert a chip-shot of a field goal from just 22 yards.

That has to go down as something of a win for the Jags considering.

  10. Turnover - Another interceptionpublished at 01:31 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 7-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Wow! A second interception of the game already for Trevor Lawrence as Doug Pederson rolls the dice on fourth-and-seven, somewhat forcing Lawrence to try to squeeze a throw in to his receiver, but it's picked off by Asante Samuel.

Perhaps attempting the field goal was the better move there, but Pederson is renowned for taking a few risks.

  11. Trevor back in the groovepublished at 01:25 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 7-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

A couple of nice completions from Lawrence as he tries to shake off that early interception. To be fair it was tipped twice before being picked off so while he should've done a bit better with it there was a slice of bad luck involved.

  12. touchdown

Touchdown - Chargerspublished at 01:21 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 7-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

What s a start for the Bolts! Austin Ekeler led the league with 18 TDs in the regular season and he gets his first of this post-season with a smart run and an even better dive over into the end zone.

Ekeler showed remarkable body control to dive and roll to avoid his knee or elbow from touching down until he'd crossed the whitewash for the score.

  13. Turnover - Lawrence picked off!published at 01:18 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

What a start for the Chargers! Trevor Lawrence has his pass deflected at the line and it loops up enough for the Chargers to pick it off for a huge early turnover.

  14. Kick-off!published at 01:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers 0-0 Jacksonville Jaguars

Ready for another one? OK then, here we go as the Chargers kick-off in Jacksonville for the second play-off game of the night.

  15. How the Chargers made it to the play-offspublished at 01:15 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Los Angeles Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars (01:15 GMT)

    Los Angeles Chargers (10-7)

The Chargers boost one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the NFL in Justin Herbert and the second year star has proven why. Despite playing a large part of the season without top wide receiver Keenan Allen, Herbert posted over 4000 passing yards with 25 touchdowns 10 interceptions.

There may be some concern about tonight's game as they suffered a 38-10 blowout against the Jacksonville Jaguars in week three. They responded to that disappointment with a three-game win streak and were keeping pace with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. But much like the Jaguars they were unable to find any real form in the middle of the season and their postseason spot was in question.

Sitting at 6-6 the Chargers needed to find something to get themselves going and did so with a four game win streak over the Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Rams. They ended the season with a loss against the Denver Broncos, but the biggest issues for head coach Brandon Staley will be the injury to Keenan Allen's running mate Mike Williams who will miss the game against Jacksonville.

  18. How the Jaguars won the AFC Southpublished at 01:08 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

    Jacksonville Jaguars (9-8)

The Jaguars decided on former Super Bowl winning coach Doug Pederson to lead their young team this season. Their early season form was exactly what you'd expect of a developing team, led by a quarterback in his second year in Trevor Lawrence. They followed up a 24-0 win over the Indianapolis Colts with a win over tonight's opponents and then ran the Philadelphia Eagles close. But an abject 13-6 loss against the Houston Texans outlined their struggles.

While the Jaguars were struggling to find consistency, their AFC South rivals Tennessee Titans were surging and it looked like it would be another season without a postseason appearance. but as the Titans started to falter, the Jaguars were finding their feet.

Their four game winning streak featured impressive victories over the Titans and Dallas Cowboys as they set up a winner takes all game with Tennessee. Their 20-16 win gave them a 9-8 record and the AFC South crown as they earned a home play-off game this weekend.

We switch to the AFC next as the Los Angeles Chargers make the long trip across the country to face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Two young stud quarterbacks clash here with Justin Herbert facing Trevor Lawrence in an eagerly-anticipated match-up.

  20. 'Just a matter of time' - Samuel on physical 49erspublished at 00:58 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver says that it was only a matter of time before their tough, physical style ground down the Seahawks.

“Once we figured out the fixes we needed at half-time, you see how our defence came out and held them to one touchdown in the second half and you see how we just started clicking on all cylinders on offence - it was amazing," Samuel said on the field after the game.

“Everybody knows we’re a physical team so they were going to come out here and give it everything they got - but it was just a matter of time how long they can take it before our offence and defence started to grind them down."
