Concern for the 49ers as defensive lineman Charles Omenihu is hurt on an inside run by Kenneth Walker. Fred Warner is also seen stretching as team physios attend to Omenihu.

Brock Purdy completed 3/6 passes for 40 yards and a TD in that first quarter - modest totals but the way he played was very promising, showing a calm and poise under pressure on the touchdown throw that bodes well going forward.

Tyler Lockett catches a pass for another first down and this is now a really promising drive as we hit the end of the first quarter.

Geno takes off this time and converts for a first down - no sliding from him either there as he dives head first for a couple of extra yards.

Rookie RB Walker lowers the shoulder and barges his way over for another Seattle first down as they look to get something rolling.

He follows it up with a gain of six on the next play.

After failing to complete a couple of third-and-two plays, Seattle need five yards to move the sticks and this time Geno Smith does just that, finding DK Metcalf to grab the first first down for Seattle of the game.

Elijah Mitchell takes the short dump-off pass from Purdy and is brought down just two yards shot of the end zone.

Andrew Priestley: Hard to see anything other than the 49ers extending their 10-game winning run tonight. That is however highly reliant on ‘Mr Irrelevant’ Brock Purdy being able to carry his fearless QB play through to the playoffs. He does have a strong supporting cast around him.

Welcome Christian McCaffrey - with the mid-season signing busting out for a 68-yard run right from the restart!

Again, as is the theme with the 49ers, the blocking is brilliant and there's a huge hole for the former Panthers RB to just sprint through for that huge gain.

Geno Smith keeps the ball on third down and looks to run a couple of yards to move the chains, but Tashaun Gipson comes through a crowd of bodies from across the field to tackle the QB and force the punt.

The Seahawks will the ball on their own 38-yard line after a nice kick-off return from Godwin Igwebuike, taking it from his own one-yard line almost to halfway.

Robbie Gould boots a 34-yard field goal after Brock Purdy almost threw an interception on third down. Purdy made some nice throws but also just a hint of play-off jitters on a couple of wayward passes.

Still, points on the board.

Deebo Samuel, the 49ers' receiver-turned-running back, gets the ball on the ground first off and turns it into a nice 22-yard run down the left sideline - hardly touched for the first 20 of those yards as well.

He could be a big x-factor tonight.

San Fran start with two pass plays for rookie Brock Purdy, and after the first is fired too high, the second he hits Brandon Aiyuk for a 19-yard gain.

Geno Smith goes down sacked on just the third play of the game! Ken Walker actually ran for nine yards on the first play, but the second he was backed up and then Arik Armstead broke through to bring him down.

Seattle have to punt after a three-and-out.

The NFL play-offs are underway! San Francisco won the toss, deferred and so kick-off giving Geno Smith the ball first.

It's not exactly California weather - with heavy rain pouring down just before kick-off. They call it the great leveller and it could be the case tonight, be careful with that wet ball!

They say defence wins championships, and the San Francisco 49ers have the best in the league - in both yards and points allowed.

It'll be tough going for Seattle tonight.
