A tough spot on second down means the Dolphins have it on third-and-two when it perhaps should have been inches and quarterback sneak territory.

The third down pass is incomplete and despite initially looking like they are going for it. Mike McDaniel sends out Jason Sanders and the field goal unit.

It is good from 37-yards and Miami are within one score.

Sanders on a 9-0 run.

Sam Martin punts the ball to Cedric Wilson, who breaks loose on the return. He is able to slide away from a couple of would-be tacklers and is tripped up by Martin.

The 50-yard return sets Miami up at the 27-yard line.

On third-and-eight from their own half Josh Allen buys time and heaves a long ball deep down the middle of the field.

Khalil Shakir gets behind Kader Kohou and the pass is on the money, but Shakir is unable to secure the catch as the ball bounces high off the ground.

The Bills will punt the ball away to Miami with 1:48 in the half. We all saw what that Jacksonville touchdown did before half-time last night,

Miami continue to chip away at this Buffalo lead as they turn the interception into points.

Jason Sanders is again sent out, this time his 48-yard attempt is much cleaner and splits the uprights almost perfectly.

On third down, Skylar Thompson swings a pass to Salvon Ahmed up the right sideline.

Tremaine Edmunds reads the intention and breaks on the pass at full speed and absolutely lights up Ahmed.

There is a question over a hit to a defenceless receiver. The presence of the ball between the two players' heads played a role in keeping both players somewhat safe.

On fourth-and-eight, Skylar Thompson swings the ball out to Jeff Wilson on the right.

He makes Matt Milano miss before picking up a big block from Tyreek hill. Wilson tiptoes down the right sideline for 10 yards and a fresh set of downs.

On the interception return Christian Wilkins, known for being a bit of a nuisance decides to shove Josh Allen. Allen responds with a push of his own and suddenly there is a scrum.

Flags fly and there are offsetting personal fouls assessed.

This could be a big moment for the Miami Dolphins. Xavien Howard has been burned twice by Stefon Diggs on a go route, but this time he is able to stay with Diggs.

Allen throws up a bit of a jump ball but only Howard is able to locate the ball and he makes a great grab over his shoulder inside his own five-yard line.

He returns the ball close to midfield.

James Cook springs free on second-and-one. There is a great block from Dion Dawkins and Cook eats up 12-yards before being tackled.

Miami Dolphins 3-17 Buffalo Bills

The sack means it is a 40-yard field goal attempt for Jason Sanders.

It looks like the kick maybe leaking wide of the right upright, but it holds just long enough to get Miami on the board.

Mike McDaniel tries to dress up a screen pass, but the play takes too long to develop and Carlos 'Boogie' Basham is able to get home.

It sees them into third-and-long again. Thompson's checkdown is dropped, not that he would have got close to a first down with a number of Bills defenders converging.

Third-and-19, no problem for Skylar Thompson. He climbs away from pressure and finds Tyreek Hill who is finally able to secure his first catch.

It is a few yards short of the first down marker, but Hill is wide open on the left sideline and is able to pick up the extra yardage needed.

They were building momentum but the Dolphins are now at third and long.

Matt Milano comes on the blitz and forces them into third-and-19.

Much like their opponents the Dolphins open their drive with a pass.

Skylar Thompson is well protected and he shows good patience to scan the field and come back to the right side to find Durham Smythe.

They follow that up with two straight runs for solid gains and now the Dolphins are driving inside the Buffalo 30.

Miami Dolphins 0-17 Buffalo Bills

It is a 33-yard field goal attempt for Tyler Bass and he boots it through with no problem.

Buffalo stretch their lead with their third-straight scoring drive.

On second down it looks like the Bills have another touchdown but on further review it is ruled the ground helped Dawson Knox complete the catch.

That leads to a third down passing attempt but the pressure is too much and Allen is sacked by a number of Dolphins defenders. Bringing out the field goal unit.

The Bills run the ball inside with Devin Singletary on second down to end the first quarter.

It is pretty one sided at the moment with Buffalo controlling the time of possession and putting up two touchdowns on back-to-back drives.

Miami need to find a way to eliminate the little mistakes they are making. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combined for over 3,000 yards in the regular season but have failed to reel in any of their targets so far.
