It's going to be -2C at kick-off, according to BBC Weather.

The Bills are used to playing in freezing temperatures - they beat the Dolphins 32-29 in December in the snow to clinch a play-off berth - but Miami don't see this sort of weather too often.

  3. The Dolphins break into the postseasonpublished at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills (18:00)

Nothing sums up the highs and the lows of the NFL season like the Miami Dolphins. They started the season with wins over the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills.

But disaster struck against the Cincinnati Bengals when promising quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion. That sent the Dolphins on a three game losing streak.

They answered that with a five game win streak of their own and put themselves in control of a wildcard spot. But a five game losing streak put them on the brink of missing out before a win over the Jets saw them sneak in. But down their starting quarterback they may struggle to make in roads this season.

Following last season's overtime play-off defeat at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs everyone expected the Bills to come back stronger. They looked like a real force with two dominant wins over the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans.

The Bills have only lost three games this season for the second seed in the AFC. But one of those losses have come against tonight's opponents the Miami Dolphins, though they had Tua Tagovailoa.

Their chance at at the number one seed was only hindered by a cancelled game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and all thoughts turned to his health. Now spurred on by Hamlin returning to the team facility can the Bills go all the way?

  6. Will Allen go big for Buffalo again?published at 17:47 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills (18:00)

The Bills and Dolphins had one victory apiece in their regular season meetings, with Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen putting up big numbers in both games.

The Dolphins won 21-19 in Miami in Week 3 and it was 32-29 to the Bills in Week 15.

Allen had 400 passing yards in the loss to Miami and threw for four touchdowns in the victory. He's 8-2 in his career against Miami, a team that ranked second in the NFL this season in blitz rate.

Injured Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa played both games for the Dolphins.

  7. Josh Allen's last home play-off gamepublished at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2023

Josh Allen was amazing in last year's play-offs - he came off second best in Kansas City but was more than good enough, while his last game in Buffalo was another masterclass, as he destroyed the New England Patriots.

Any more of this tonight and the Dolphins are in trouble.
