  1. Half-timepublished at 01:05 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-9 San Francisco 49ers

Proper tough half of play-off football that one, with defences largely on top and only glimpses of the offensive firepower on show.

Both Purdy and Prescott have had their moments, but up to now those two interceptions from Dak are costing the Cowboys.

  2. field goal

    Field goal - 49erspublished at 01:03 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-9 San Francisco 49ers

Purdy almost runs out of time when simply just throwing the ball away, but that rookie error doesn't cost San Francisco as there's one second left on the lock - enough for Robbie Gould to nail a 50-yarder and send the 49ers in ahead at half-time.

  3. 49ers trying to manage the clockpublished at 01:02 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

Former NFL tight end Greg Olsen on Fox: "Right now San Francisco is just playing games with the clock, they want to make sure the field goal is the final play off the half. You might get lucky if someone breaks free but they are making sure Robbie Gould's kick is the last action."

  4. Great play!published at 01:00 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy has plenty of time, and when he's got time he usually delivers, as he does here to Jennings, who gets out of bounds after the catch and now they're in field goal range.

  5. Prescott picked off again!published at 00:56 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

Turnovers! You just can't afford them in the play-offs and Prescott's had two now, as his pass is gathered by Fred Warner after it was bobbled up by team-mate Jimmie Ward was tipped and the Niners escape from a tricky spot inside their own red zone.

  6. ouch!

    Ouch!published at 00:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

Tony Pollard gets his ankle rolled up in the tackle a bit like Patrick Mahomes did last night, and Dallas' dynamic running back hobbles off into the blue tent.

  7. Great play!published at 00:49 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

Dak Prescott keeps the drive alive on fourth down, with Mike McCarthy not trusting Maher with the field goal - he does trust his QB who just about escapes a pocket collapsing under pressure and once in the open discovers there's acres of space for him to roam into.

  8. Four-down territory?published at 00:44 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

Former NFL tight end Greg Olsen on Fox: "If you are Kellen Moore and McCarthy do you just treat this like you have two downs? Because the idea of kicking a long field goal, I am not sure there is anyone on the Dallas sideline who feels comfortable with that."

  9. Field goals a no-go for Dallas?published at 00:44 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

Dallas are just on the edge of field goal range, but is there any range from which Mike McCarthy will risk sending Brett Maher out to kick?

  10. Greenlaw gets it wrongpublished at 00:43 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

In a game like this when you've got to slug it out for every single yard, Dre Greenlaw getting flagged for 15 yards for a late hit will drive Kyle Shanahan crazy.

  11. field goal

    Field goal - 49erspublished at 00:39 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-6 San Francisco 49ers

You'd have thought Kyle Shanahan might have a go on fourth down with just two yards needed, but he decides to play it relatively safely by sending Robbie Gould out to kick a 47-yard field goal.

Gould converts and it's a tied game!

  12. Deebo's got the movespublished at 00:31 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-3 San Francisco 49ers

Deebo Samuel has been a bit quiet this season but he could still be a huge x-factor in the play-offs, as he shows here with not a huge play yardage wise, but crucial in keeping the momentum as a flat pass that should've seen him tackled for a loss was turned into a six-yard gain thanks to some excellent footwork.

  13. 'The ball is going to miss 10-feet to the left'published at 00:27 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-3 San Francisco 49ers

Former NFL tight end Greg Olsen on Fox: "I think this ball is going to miss about 10-feet to the left, the ball is on the left hash and it was blocked in the left A-gap between the centre and the guard."

  14. Night-Maher againpublished at 00:25 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-3 San Francisco 49ers

You'll notice it's only 6-3 to Dallas and not 7-3, and that's because Brett Maher has missed another extra point for Dallas, after his four in a row nightmare last week.

Even I felt nervous as he lined that up after what happened last week, and in the end his attempt is blocked, although it looked like it was heading wide left anyway.

  15. touchdown

Touchdown - Dallaspublished at 00:23 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 6-3 San Francisco 49ers

He got two last week, and tight end Dalton Schultz gets the first touchdown of the day, and a relatively simple one too as he takes the pass from Prescott, turns and finds it a simple enough job to get into the end zone.

  16. Great play!published at 00:22 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 0-3 San Francisco 49ers

Prescott takes off and almost takes it to the house but for a last-ditch tackle from Hufanga who brings him down a couple of yards short.

  17. Here comes Hufangapublished at 00:20 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 0-3 San Francisco 49ers

That was a terrifying blitz by Talanoa Hufanga, who timed it up perfectly and had a free run at Prescott - but the QB somehow got the ball out to Elliott under the most intense pressure. They still lost a yard though.

  18. Postpublished at 00:18 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 0-3 San Francisco 49ers

Two positive plays to start the quarter for Dallas as the dip inside the San Francisco 35 on what looks a promising drive with yards coming nicely against this top defence.

  19. 'We don't like the Cowboys'published at 00:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 0-0 San Francisco 49ers

Two 49ers legends on the sidelines...

  20. End of the first quarter - defences on toppublished at 00:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2023

Dallas Cowboys 0-3 San Francisco 49ers

There was a lot of talk before the game about both quarterbacks and offences. So far though this has been a real defensive scrap with both teams bottling up the other's offensive units.

The 49ers have come up with the only points in the game after turning a Deommodore Lenoir interception into a field goal.
