There's a bit of a desert chill in the open air stadium now, confetti is all over the field, and there are still plenty of Chiefs players out there with their families, soaking it all in, and who can blame them!

Thanks for joining us for what's been a brilliant Super Bowl, and read our match report and keep your eyes peeled to the BBC Sport website for more reaction and follow-ups to this tremendous Kansas City Chiefs victory.

So, as the last few fans trickle out of the stadium, as the players march off to do their media duties, and just before I go for a sit down in a dark room, Aaron Rodgers style, to try and work out what's just happened, we'll say goodbye from Arizona, and Super Bowl 57.

And say roll on next year in Las Vegas!

  2. Hail to the Chiefs!published at 03:48 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2023

As the dust, and confetti settles here in Arizona let's just sit back and admire what a great spectacle that was, and what a performance from Patrick Mahomes in particular under the circumstances.

These last five years with him as their starting QB they've challenged every single year, got to at least the Championship game to play for a place in the Super Bowl and made three, winning two.

As long as they have him, you get the feeling they'll always have a chance.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce: "I got Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, I have got a great team, we had an unbelievable run.

"He told everyone be yourselves, we were uncharacteristic in the beginning but everyone had that look in their eye that they would leave it all out there on the field and that is what we did."

Not the best squib kick from Butker and the Eagles get it on their own 37 yard line with six second left, we've already seen that Hurts can sling it, can he sling that far? Have they got a trick play lined up?

    Let's find out...

    No pressure....

  16. He's in...no!published at 03:09 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2023

Jerick McKinnon has a clear run in on the end zone, but he slides down on the two yard line - as the Chiefs don't want to score and give the Eagles time to respond, that's a smart heads-up play.

The Chiefs are in striking distance, they're on the 15-yard line, and just eight yards away from a first down that would allow them to run the clock down and go for a game-winning field goal.

  19. MVP on the runpublished at 03:03 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 35-35 Philadelphia Eagles

What a run from Mahomes, who is pressured enough to leave the pocket, has a quick scan and takes off, then it just opens up and he runs on, and on, and on, for 26 yards!

Everyone winces as the tackle comes in and he gets up pretty gingerly, but the Chiefs are in superb position now as we hit the two minute warning.
