  2. 'He tried to kill me"published at 14:17

"He tried to kill me, I don't know what was going on," jokes Bolt, his voice going up a few octaves as he tries to explain how the photographer crashed into him.

And as the interview ends, Bolt quips into the camera: "Michael Johnson, stop doubting me, bro"

The great Johnson in the studio is outraged. Oh the japes...

  3. It's a big deal - Boltpublished at 14:15

Usain Bolt is laughing and smiling with Phil Jones before the cameras roll.

"For me it's a big deal," says Bolt, before adding that his victories are a result of hard work and dedication.

Usain Bolt's appeal beyond his own sport makes him one of the greatest athletes of all time. His appeal is huge. Everybody runs in a sprint race at school and can relate to what he does when he runs fast, but he gives the crowd something to remember afterwards by turning it into a party, and that's why he will be missed so much when he goes.

I came out and gave it my best. Coming here my back felt a bit sore so I couldn't give it everything that I wanted but in the end I finished injury-free. Usain Bolt is a legend, man. I even doubted him a bit but he knows what to do so credit to him and congratulations to him.

  6. There's only one Boltpublished at 14:12

Michael Johnson dampens the mood by reminding us that the sport merely has two more years of Bolt's show-stopping antics. (The 10-time world champion set to retire after the 2017 World Championships.)

"Who will take over," asks Johnson. Who indeed. There's no-one quite like Bolt, not on the track and certainly not off the track.

  8. 'Bolt surprised us'published at 14:10 British Summer Time 27 August 2015

    Michael Johnson
400m world record holder on BBC TV

"What surprised me is the bend Usain Bolt ran. Gatlin tightened up trying to keep up with Bolt. I expected Gatlin to be ahead of Bolt on the bend and then Bolt would catch him, but Bolt surprised us in terms of the time.

"He is the best in the world and he does not have any rivals. We have to give him a lot of credit for running in the 100m and 200m - this is the most he has been challenged.

"He won the 100m, then there were questions of whether he would run in the 200m but he came and ran in a world-leading time. We haven't seen this type of showdown since Bolt came into prominence in 2008.

"A personal best from Zharnel Hughes. He can't be disappointed with that. He has had three very good races."

  10. Selfie for Boltpublished at 14:09

Usain Bolt continues his lap of honour but there's chaos in the stands with stewards running into the crowd to stop a fan from running onto the track.

Bolt, though, unfazed and simply grabs a selfie stick to pose with the crowd in the background.

  11. Photographer clobbers Boltpublished at 14:06

If there were those who doubted whether Usain Bolt was the greatest athlete this planet has seen, surely these championships have forced them to reassess their views.

A bit of drama on the sidelines because a photographer has accidentally knocked the double champ over. Gatlin couldn't topple him but a clumsy cameraman can. Bolt smiles as he hobbles away from the clash. He should be ok for the relay.
