    Colin Jackson
Two-time world 110m hurdles champion on BBC TV

Bol is such a beautiful runner, that time of 50.66secs is so relaxed and controlled.

She puts herself in such a good position and when you are so good at your event it is a true blessing - Bol ran it so technically well.

Laviai Nielsen reached the final by just 0.04 seconds. That was the gap between her and fourth place Henriete Jaeger.

It doesn't matter if you do it by 0.04 seconds or four minutes, however. The Brit is in the final.

Can Morgan Lake make it third time lucky for the third time in this women's high jump final?

The rhythmic clapping begins. A British flag waves in front of her...

Ah, but it's not there for Lake, who bows out with a best height of 1.92m.

She stands with her hands on her hips and looks back at the bar. What might have been.

    Men's 1500m heats

    So, that was chaotic.

We were supposed to only have 12 finalists in the men's 1500m, but we will have 14 after Adam Fogg of Britain and Ethiopia's Biniam Mehary were both awarded places after being tripped in their heats.

14 men on track! It could be mayhem.
