"I don't think Froch will fight again. I don't think he will give James DeGale his fight."
The two men leave the ring and sit down together, side by side, for a television interview. Froch hails the greatest victory of his career, Groves just stares blankly into the distance. His head is a little hazy - that lethal combination of a clubbing right from the Cobra and the hollow, horrible feeling of defeat taking effect.

"There is no preparation for being chased round a ring by a world champion in front of 80,000 people. Sometimes you can forget that basic rule. That in that ring, nothing outside it counts."
Carl Froch and George Groves have a chat in the ring, both men smiling. I'd love to be a fly on the world title belts which are draped around the Cobra's shoulders. What are they talking about?
Dominic Skinner:, external After the Hayes vs Fury debacle Froch & Grove have restored credibility to British boxing two real gladiators!
William Searle:, external Oh. My. Days. Carl Froch, you beauty. What a punch!

"Carl Froch had been tapping George Groves with that left. I kept wondering why he was throwing an open handed left hook but he was tapping him, bringing him round. It was by far the best knockout I have seen from Carl Froch. What a finish."
Michael Buffer is handed the microphone. And still...the IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion of the world, it's Carl 'The Cobra' Froch. Cue gold tickertape, loud music and more spotlights. Team Froch celebrates. A stunning night's work.
Shannen Craddock:, external Omg what a fight! #BOOM Something really did tell me it was #Froch night! Even tho he didn't look right!

"Carl was looking for a single punch finish. I tipped Carl but I did not think there was any chance of a knock down like that. Under no circumstances."
Mike Costello

"It was one of the great knockout punches of all time."

"That type of shot is a shot that the referee did not even bother to count. He got on his knees and the referee just looks at him. Groves's knees had just gone. What a punch that was."
George Groves's legs buckled benath him. The referee took one look at the challenger and waved the fight off. Groves didn't know if he was in London or Las Vegas. Froch? He'd hit the jackpot.
Groves rises from his stool, a broken man. He heads to the centre of the ring and congratulates Froch. I've just seen a replay of that right hand - nobody in the world would have got up from that inside 10 seconds. Nobody.
George Groves slumps on his stool, surrounded by medics. Carl Froch is given a kiss from his partner.

"You won't throw a shot like that in your career, it was a peach. I thought Groves was busy but he was getting slower and slower, he was getting more predictable and Froch landed the punch."
Carl Froch's team celebrate. They feel vindicated. George Groves had the stuffing knocked out of him with that clubbing, decisive right hand.

"There was a point there about 20 seconds before when you saw Carl Froch looking and teeing George Groves up for that right hand. You could see the strength draining away from George Groves. He did not move for two or three seconds when he went down and the referee called it off."
The money shot. One of the biggest punches in British boxing history! Carl Froch throws a devastating right hand which floors George Groves, who cannot beat the count.
Froch tries to corner Groves, but the challenger ducks and weaves his way out of trouble. He's slippery.

"I kind of agree with him [Rob McCracken]. What he said was that you are letting him win it with one jab, it is silly. I have it 4-3 to Groves but it is very even."
