Eddie Hocknull:, external All this booing at Froch is just bizarre. 4xWorld Champ people! Then again, English fans always do prefer a loser to a champion.

Stuart Horgan:, external Froch doesn't deserve to be booed. I think Groves will win, but whoever wins I hope they show respect to the sport & the loser.

Kevin Mitchell, who stopped Ghislain Maduma in the 11th round: "I knew he was going to have to work hard at the start, but I am a little more experienced and I was putting the pressure on him, letting him feel it.

"I am coming on bundles. I was only going to get more vicious and I could have kept on going for loads of rounds."

British heavyweight Anthony Joshua: "If I had to lean a way, I'm going with Carl Froch. I've got a lot of respect for George Groves, he's an unbelievable fighter, an unbelievable man. I just feel that Froch is a world champion and a very proud man. I think he made a lot of mistakes in the first fight and I think he has got them right, which is why I feel he will win."

Kevin Mitchell may have won his IBF eliminator against Ghislain Maduma but he won't get a title shot because he was over the maximum weight for the fight.

Miguel Vazquez is the current IBF lightweight title holder, and promoter Eddie Hearn said: "Kevin missed the weight this morning. I believe we can make with Vasquez anyway. He carved out the win from nowhere. It was the hell of a stoppage performance. He kept his career alive."

"Kevin Mitchell probably needed a stoppage and he got one, great comeback down the stretch from the tough kid from Dagenham."

It's party time for Kevin Mitchell's loyal following, because the east-ender has just stopped Canada's Ghislain Maduma in the 11th round of their IBF lightweight title eliminator. The 29-year-old was losing on the judges' scorecards, so the late stoppage was just what the doctored ordered.

Dan Buthie:, external This fight is quite literally un-predictable! Can't call it but my guess would be the Cobra after all 12.

With 80,000 fight fans set to pack into Wembley, nobody is laughing at Eddie Hearn now - least of all the boxers themselves. It is estimated that Carl Froch will pocket £4m from this fight with George Groves trousering £1m. Not bad for a night's work!

Carl Froch has compared Wembley Arena to a modern-day coliseum, but promoter Eddie Hearn says his father - snooker and darts guru Barry - laughed at him when he suggested the rematch could be held at the national stadium.

"Everyone thought I was crazy, especially my old man," said Hearn., external "But we're not kamikazes who said 'yeah, let's do it at Wembley!'.

"You analyse it, you look at the numbers, you look at the costs. My old man is a chartered accountant and he has imbued that in me. It's also about feel and how you think you can sell it.

"Ultimately, I looked at the national stadium and this is where I wanted to be. We have a one-off opportunity to do something massive for British boxing and to do it in the national stadium."

Carl Froch, speaking to Sky Sports Box Office: "I'm not exactly battling the nerves. I have been fine all day, relaxing with my feet up and getting ready for the fight.

"It was nice to go out to the arena and have a look when my good friend Anthony Joshua was fighting. I wanted to hear the sounds, it sounds like a modern day coliseum, it brought a smile to my face because I am a big fan of ancient Rome and all the gladiator films. It is very atmospheric. It has cheered me up and I am looking forward to getting out there."

Barry McGuigan, former WBA featherweight champion: "This is a macho game but in the heat of battle it can spill over into arrogance and I doubt if George Groves can stay composed and just keep boxing throughout. Force my hand and I go for Carl Froch with a stoppage in the 10th, 11th or 12th round."

James DeGale, the 2008 Olympic gold medallist: "It will be a close one. I'm sitting on the fence but, with a gun to my head, I'd probably go with Groves. You never know, because there are so many ifs and buts. That's why the fight is so intriguing: no-one knows."

The organisers of tonight's big fight deserve plenty of credit for turning around Wembley so quickly, considering the England national team played there last night against Peru. Event staff practised for months so they were ready to erect the rings, cover and flooring in less than 24 hours. It's quite an achievement, isn't it?
