  1. Thanks and goodbyepublished at 00:28 British Summer Time 26 June 2016

And that concludes tonight's live commentary. We promised a great night of boxing, and that's just what it was.

There were victories for Anthony Ogogo (middleweight), Dillian Whyte (heavyweight) and Chris Eubank Jr (British middleweight title). George Groves kept his hopes of winning a world title alive with an impressive performance at super-middleweight to defeat Martin Murray.

Then, the main event, and it did not disappoint. Anthony Joshua produced a dominant performance, but had to wait until the seventh round until he finally got rid of brave and gallant American Dominic Breazeale to successfully retain his IBF heavyweight belt.

As always, thank you for all your interactions and comments. Until next time, bye for now.

Anthony Joshua knocks out Dominic Breazeale in round seven

After his explosive seventh round knockout of Dominic Breazeale, Anthony Joshua was asked about his next opponent.

Fighters like WBC world champion Deontay Wilder, WBA and WBO champion Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury and Joshua's IBF mandatory, Joseph Parker from New Zealand, were mentioned when he spoke to Sky Sports.

Talking about Wilder, Joshua says: "An inspirational person, he waited 30 fights and I'm following suit. One day we will get to experience what each other's about.

He said: "I was looking at the Furys (Tyson or Hughie), either one of them, for the winter but unfortunately (Tyson) Fury got injured. In the meantime we'll look at people like Joseph Parker. But now it's time to get some rest and recharge my batteries."

  7. The champ talks...published at 00:11 British Summer Time 26 June 2016

Time to hear from Anthony Joshua, following his successful first defence of his IBF heavyweight world title.

  8. Where next champ?published at 00:05

So, what next for Anthony Joshua? There has been talk of an IBF mandatory defence sometime this year against New Zealand born Joseph Parker.

The 24-year-old, who has won all 19 of his fights, including 16 inside the distance, is based in Las Vegas, so could we see Joshua on his travels? Well, he is the champion so he has absolutely no need to leave London, but money often talks in boxing. You just never know.

However, that fight is reliant on Parker getting through a fight with Solomon Haumono in July.

Other options? Well David Haye, ranked third in the IBF rankings, is certainly keen. That one may have to wait a while, but again this is a very difficult sport to predict.

  10. Breazeale makes a name for himselfpublished at 00:00 British Summer Time 26 June 2016

Dominic Breazeale took some punishment. Change that, he took loads and loads of punishment. But it is job done for Anthony Joshua.

At no stage did he ever look in trouble. Not many people, especially in Britain, were too familiar with Breazeale before this fight and many wrote him off completely.

But the spirit he showed was absolutely fantastic. The American was outclassed from the first minute, but the guts and character he showed highlights everything that boxing is all about.

    Breaking

Dominic Breazeale gets up, but it is a brutal finish from Anthony Joshua. He lands eight unanswered blows and Breazeale has no choice but to crumple on to the floor. Referee Howard Foster does not even count this time. He could have counted to 50.

In the early seconds of the seventh, Breazeale actually catches Joshua with a left hook. The Brit immediately responds with an onslaught and a blur of punches. Breazeale falls to the canvas.

Round 6: Anthony Joshua v Dominic Breazeale

Once again, an overhand right from Joshua rocks Breazeale's head back. The American is going to have one hell of a headache later on.

Faultless from Joshua so far through six rounds, but he has never seen any opponent take so much punishment and still be standing.

Round five: Anthony Joshua v Dominic Breazeale

A tiny chink of success for Dominic Breazeale with three punches to the body of Joshua. But Breazeale, who now has heavy swelling under his right eye, still does not do enough to win the round.

But full marks for his guts, heart and determination. Not many people expected it to still be going on. Joshua still cannot afford to be careless. One punch changes everything.

Round 4: Anthony Joshua v Dominic Breazeale

How does Breazeale get himself back into this one? At the moment it is all about survival.

His legs have looked unsteady at times, especially the second round, but he has not gone down yet.

His accuracy is still not the best, but he is still in, still trying to land. He certainly has not given up. Tough, committed and durable for the American. However, he has also fought four rounds, and lost four rounds.

But this is heavyweight boxing. All it takes is one shot.
