In Murray's corner tonight will be Salford-based trainer Oliver Harrison, who has been with him for all four of his failed attempts at winning a world title. A win tonight over Groves will put Murray in a good position for a fifth shot.

This was the scene in Murray's dressing room not too long ago.

George Groves and Martin Murray. Two nearly men of British boxing. They have clocked up seven world title attempts between them, but neither have ever had their arm raised at the end of the night.

Both men say the other will have to quit if they suffer one more defeat, while the winner is scheduled to have another chance at glory in the future. How will this one go? It is coming up very soon.

Chris Eubank Jr. wins by fourth round stoppage

Chris Eubank Jr. didn't waste any time in his post-fight interview before he called out world middleweight king Gennady Golovkin and British rival Billy Joe Saunders.

"For me it's all about making statements," said Eubank Jr. "I'm world level now and I want to challenge for world titles. Golovkin, I'm coming for you. Everyone's scared of you but I'm not.

"If I can't get you, then Billy Joe Saunders is getting it. Any fighter worth their salt wants to be the best and wants to beat the best. I want the big names and the guys who are going to put some spice into the game. I'm ready."

His father, Eubank Snr. added: "Golovkin, if he's clever, should be watching this man here."

"Well, I think we can safely say Chris Eubank hasn't lost his killer instinct.

"There were worrying signs there when Doran started blinking exaggeratedly - it was when Gerald McClellan started doing the same against Nigel Benn in 1995 that some observers knew something was wrong.

"McClellan ended up in a coma that night, thankfully Doran seems OK after a quick dose of oxygen."

And that is that. Doran crumbles to the canvas after another beast of an uppercut. Once again he hauls himself to his feet, but referee Marcus McDonnell has seen enough and stops the contest.

Chris Eubank Jr v Tom Doran

Seconds into the first round, and Marcus McDonnell has just spoken to Chris Eubank Jr after the fighter stood there posing, waiting for Doran to attack him.

He is not everyone's favourite fighter. But just like his father, Chris Eubank Sr, he knows how to work up a crowd.

Will his arrogance prove to be his downfall?

Unbeaten Welshman Tom Doran, who has won all 17 of his professional contests, says Chris Eubank Jr's talk about past and future opponents is 'disrespectful.'

Even before the first bell has rung on his first British title defence, Eubank Jr. says he wants to take on the unbeaten middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin next, with a fight being talked about for as early as September.

"I think all the Golovkin talk is disrespectful but I've pushed it to one side," said Doran.

"It doesn't get better than this, I can't wait to take the chance with both hands."

  20. Eubank Jr will show 'no mercy' to Doranpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 25 June 2016

British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. says there will be 'no mercy' for opponent Tom Doran.

This will be Eubank Jr's first fight since he won the British title against Nick Blackwell, who was put into an induced coma following their fight. He recovered, but has since announced his retirement from boxing.

"I'm not going to let a situation like what happened in my last fight affect my future performances," said Eubank Jr.

"Something like that might affect someone's fighting style and mindset. For me, I've used it to fuel myself even more. I'm in there to win, defend myself and attack, and to further my career, so there is no mercy."
