    Chisora v Whyte

    115-114 Chisora

    115-113 Whyte

    115-114 Whyte

A split decision. Nothing much in it at all. The two rivals embrace. In truth it is Dillian Whyte who asked for the show of respect and he threw his arms around his beaten rival. Whyte has a future, hope, something to get up for tomorrow. Dereck Chisora has to face boxing's unwanted question... 'where do you go from here?'

Some savage swinging in that fight. The two of them were so game and so unwilling to give an inch. You hit me, I hit you. Terrific bout. Well done to both. The scores are coming.

  6. Fight over - who will get the verdict?published at 23:48 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Chisora v Whyte

Dillian Whyte lands three light shots. Dereck Chisora hunts him down and swings away but gets tagged. Chisora nearer the ropes, chucks a big right which gets nothing but air. A left hook from Del Boy, a straight right from the Body Snatcher. Both men just lampooning one another. Whyte swings so hard he misses and ends up tangled in the ropes, that would have floored an elephant and THAT MY FRIENDS IS THAT. The bell rings. A corker. Judges, good luck.

Dereck Chisora is on the canvas but it's not key, he slipped on water. He waves his hand to the referee because he needs help getting up - that's how tired he is...

I have got it level going into the 12th round. It''s all about the final round.

It's been the best heavyweight fight I have ever seen live. It has far exceeded all expectations.

  9. Round 12published at 23:45 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Chisora v Whyte

Dillian Whyte's corner remind him this is the last round coming up. He probably doesn't know what day it is right now.

They get off their stools, both will know they need this round. Sit tight...

  10. Round 11 - another epic roundpublished at 23:44 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Chisora v Whyte

Dereck Chisora tries to go low and then lands a left hook but Dillian Whyte shows he's going nowhere by landing the exact same shot. This is blow for blow.  We have 15 seconds of the round left. A hard right is delivered to Dereck Chisora.

"Talk to me, CAN YOU HEAR ME?"

That's what has just been shouted at Dereck Chisora by his corner. Hardly encouraging. Chisora is living life in a blur here. It's lunacy but gutsy to say the least.

These two guys are staying on their feet and staying to the end.

Now it's all about whether Chisora can find something to take to Whyte because Whyte still looks the fresher of the two.

  16. Round 10 - Whyte edges roundpublished at 23:39 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Chisora v Whyte

Dereck Chisora in the corner, Dillian Whyte throws a right which dents the gloves at best. Two left jabs from Whyte, the younger fighter. Left-right from Whyte, they make their way to the middle of the ring.

They are trading like two kids swapping stickers.  Right to the body from Whyte, a three-shot combination. His round again for me. The better work rate of the two.

    Chisora v Whyte

What have you got gents? These are the rounds that matter....

Dereck Chisora certainly the risk-taker of the two as he tries to get through early on and he has success. He hurts Dillian Whyte and launches a right hook as he tries to end it. He can't.

Dereck Chisora lost that round because of the work he put in during the previous round. He really took a breather there.

There are two warriors in that ring.

  19. Round nine - Whyte fights backpublished at 23:35 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Chisora v Whyte

We enter the second half of the round. I get the sense Dereck Chisora is trying to save some energy in this round, far less attacking from him on show. Two small uppercuts from Dillian Whyte, neither are big shots.

As they part after a grapple they look into one another's eyes. The eyes are those of men who are more asleep than awake. Spent.

Whyte's round. He didn't do much but one solid attack will have won him that segment of this fight.

  20. Round ninepublished at 23:33 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Chisora v Whyte

This fight is swaying back and forth like the mood of a petulant teenager. Picking a winner is tough. Dillian Whyte takes control early in the ninth with Dereck Chisora on the ropes but happily soaking work up...
