This is indeed a golden age for British boxing. The sport seems to be building a wider demographic in its following and perhaps that fuelled by UK success.

Across Britain and Northern Ireland, world titles are held by Anthony Joshua, Tony Bellew, Billy Joe Saunders, Nathan Cleverly, James DeGale, Kell Brook, Ricky Burns, Terry Flanagan, Lee Selby, Jamie McDonnell, Lee Haskins and Carl Frampton.

But who is the best pound for pound British fighter? BBC Sport has come up with a viewpoint. What's yours? Tweet us on #bbcboxing.

That my friends is the face of a man shouting "go on, hit him".

Cracking body warmer on Tyson Fury. I could insulate my house with that amount of material.

Our man Ben Dirs is ringside and as we told you earlier, a host of rivalries are on show down there near the canvas. Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko and as Ben says - David Haye and Tony Bellew are in the building working for broadcasters. They will go at it in the new year and given their personalities, it will be lively.

    Yafai v Concepcion

A nice snappy start from Kal Yafai, solid jab-right combo halfway through the first and he's busy. Right-left and then loops one under the guard. He looks nicely warmed up and on point as his red and gold shorts dazzle. This is a tough fight on paper but boy does he have a juicy reward on offer if he gets the job done.

Kal Yafai fights Luis Concepcion for the WBA super flyweight title as he hopes to become the first of his boxing brothers to win a world title.

At 27, Yafai is the oldest in the family and inspired his brothers to box when he was selected to box for Team GB at the 2008 Olympics.

His younger brother Gamal, 25, was a European medallist in the amateur game but did not emulate his brother by making the London 2012 Olympic squad and turned professional in 2014.

However, the youngest of the Yafai's, Galal, 23, did feature in this year's Rio Olympics. Quite a competitive family!

Andy Mackie: I once threw a keyboard at my friend's head - he was annoying me, we sorted it and he was my best man.

Earlier I asked you if any of you have done a Dereck Chisora and thrown an object at another human being. A few sibling rivalries seem to have boiled over for some of you. Naughty boy Andy.

  7. A world title contest...published at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Yafai v Concepcion

So all is well it seems after that brief scare. We move onto a world title fight now as Kal Yafai makes his way to the ring to a little bit of a Kanye West number - 'The Good Life'.

Yafai bounces down the ramp and looks focused as his opponent Luis Concepcion stands in the ring. The WBA Super-Flyweight Championship is on the line but only Yafai can win it as his opponent failed to make weight at the weigh in.

A big night for Yafai then, more on him coming up.

  9. Smith makes it 22 wins from 22published at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Smith beats Blackledge

Luke Blackledge is now OK. He stands and towels himself down after that brutal knock down. It had been coming but he deserves immense credit for making it to the 10th round. Callum Smith retains his British title and keeps the momentum rolling ahead of a likely world title shot next year. Have a nice Christmas Callum, 2017 could be big.

  11. Knockoutpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Smith beats Blackledge

We have a knockout and a very disturbing one at that. Those asking for this to be stopped a couple of rounds ago now have their case supported as Luke Blackledge walks onto a real ripper from Callum Smith.

He's completely gone, the referee rolls him onto his side and in come the doctors. A worrying silence in the crowd for this worrying sight.

Fight over, but we will not be worrying about the result just yet...

  12. Taylor's next outingpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Taylor v Obenauf

Katie Taylor is another of the big names on the undercard this evening.

It's only the 2012 Olympic Champion's second fight since going pro.

The 30-year-old Irish fighter looked sharp as you like in her first bout against Karina Kopinska two weeks ago, easily stopping the Pole in three rounds.

She faces Brazilian fighter Viviane Obenauf tonight. She has fought ten times professionally winning nine and losing the other via decision.

Of those nine wins, four were knock outs.

    Predictions?

Did you know? Taylor played football for the Republic of Ireland, earning 11 caps between 2006 and 2009 before concentrating fully on boxing.

Ladies and gentlemen, you join us in the week where boxing became more WWE than ever before. Dereck 'Del Boy' Chisora was simply not satisfied in the exchange of abuse with Dillian Whyte. Oh no, it's not a real party at Dereck's house until someone starts lobbing things about.

Tweet us on #bbcboxing and tell us if you have ever thrown anything at someone or had objects hurled at you. I'll get things rolling. I once threw a chicken kebab at a pal. He'd tried tripping me up a dozen times while I was eating it and what can I say? I did a Del Boy. Shameful.

  15. In the ring...published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Smith v Blackledge

Liverpool's Callum Smith is being frustrated a little by Luke Blackledge in there right now. The super-middleweight world-title prospect is in charge, landing the better shots and doing all the attacking, but he'd have expected to get this finished by now.

We go into round eight. Eddie Hearn looking on at one of his stable. Smith has been hyped up in this division. He drops his man halfway through the round, Blackledge beginning to hang on.

Prominent British boxing coach Joe Gallagher has a busy night of work ahead and shared this image of his dressing room door on social media. His stable in Manchester has a handful of fighters on the card. Notably Callum Smith ticking over before a shot at a super-middleweight world title next year and Scott Quigg returns.

Smith is in the ring now, in complete control against Luke Blackledge. Quigg, who has not fought since breaking his jaw in defeat to Carl Frampton in February, goes up a weight class here to meet Jose Cayetano at featherweight. That's coming up.

So, it's been a while. We love these nights. Entertainment, sport, characters, lunacy, money, general chaos. Throw in the odd badly choreographed ring walk and it's better than any soap opera you ever did see.

We have Tyson Fury in the building - what could possibly go wrong? We have Eddie Hearn talking up every man and his dog for a world title shot. We have Tony Bellew stood near David Haye ringside. Brace yourselves.

So how have you been? And are you excited/bored/clueless over the Anthony Joshua ride? Chat to me on #bbcboxing.
