Ricky told his corner he is trying to close the distance but he is struggling to. He needs a stoppage. Indongo has a new lease of life because he saw Ricky was hurt and tiring in that last round.

  4. Round eightpublished at 23:22 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

That could have been a huge left-hander from Julius Indongo, he almost rolled in like he was bowling a cricket ball.

Ricky Burns saw that coming a mile off, but it's the jab of Indongo that is causing him trouble and Burns is left scuttling backwards as the powerful Namibian comes on strong.

Burns doesn't look to be throwing anything, he's covering and trying to stop the Namibian connecting.

I scored that round even. The impact of Indongo's punches are fading. Ricky's effort is testing this guy's resolve. I think there is a good chance Ricky can take a grip of this fight.

The crowd are applauding the effort of Ricky Burns but nothing is really getting home.

  10. Round sevenpublished at 23:18 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

A couple of decent shots there and Ricky Burns must be able to sense the Glasgow faithful trying to drive him on.

He's on the canvas, but Julius Indongo almost bundled him over rather than throwing any punches.

Indongo is making Burns work hard, though.

  11. Round sevenpublished at 23:17 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

You fancy Ricky Burns has to up it from hereon in if he's going to start claiming rounds back.

Julius Indongo is tricky. That height advantage and those gangly limbs causing Burns trouble so far.

But here's the charge. Burns rallies and that gets the crowd going.

There is an argument to say that round was even. Ricky caught Indongo with a right hand and caused him to judder. Ricky has to drive in with one and drive in a second time. He has got to close down space and question Indongo's heart and desire.

  13. Round sixpublished at 23:14 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

A little bit of tiredness kicking in for the first time for both fighters. Two or three times now they've embraced in this round after wayward shots.

And this is the best we've seen Ricky Burns so far. Good right hand, and he nearly connects with a vicious second.

But Julius Indongo manages to fire a left off despite being under the cosh and Burns then walks into a right.

Julius Indongo is straight into Ricky Burns again in the sixth, landing a straight body shot to the gut of the home fighter.

Burns shakes it off. But his own combination is well countered by Indongo.

All five rounds to Indongo. He caught Ricky with a left hook and that shut Ricky down and it hurt him.

Indongo is dangerous. But Ricky has to get into him now, drive into him and unsettle his composure.

Is Ricky Burns hurt? It looked like Julius Indongo caught him there.

The crowd are roaring Burns forward, but he can't get too close to the southpaw.

That's wild from Indongo though, a big left-hander missing Burns by a distance and the Scot connects with a right.

  18. Round fivepublished at 23:09 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

Another set of good body shots from Julius Indongo is countered by a smart right hand from Ricky Burns.

Indongo is throwing everything at the Scot, who doesn't look too comfortable having to box at this range.

That round was closer for the first two and a half minutes but then Indongo loaded up. He slumped quite heavily to his seat at the end of the round, though. Interesting to see if Indongo tires.

Ricky Burns has to go for more but that means taking more risks.

This is where this fight gets interesting.

Ricky Burns looks to unleash for the first time, but it's Julius Indongo controlling the pace early on.

He's got the reach, and the southpaw is making it very tricky for the home fighter.

Indongo goes low again, then throws a powerful left. Nothing lands of note, but it's the Namibian on top.
