Indongo has done well to take a few decibels off the noise level here as Burns' fans realise the Namibian is the real deal. Burns looks cautious, struggling to get his punches away against the tall southpaw.

  2. Round fourpublished at 23:04 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

Here comes the energetic Julius Indongo again, twitching his glove in the direction of Ricky Burns and then diving in almost head first.

Burns is a little more patient. He goes with the left, and the tries to swing a right towards Indongo but the Namibian ducks out well.

Three rounds all to Julius Indongo but Ricky Burns sneaked in a few little right hands towards the end of that round. Indongo won it by a much smaller margin. Ricky Burns is doing the right thing, even though he is losing.

    Burns v Indongo

Nice feint from Ricky Burns as he glides inside and fires a lightning quick fist towards Julius Indongo. That's roused the crowd again.

Indongo is targeting the body of Burns early on. Burns' defence is good so far, he manages to ride the ropes and that's round three finished in a flash.

Well, what can Ricky Burns do to get inside that long reach of Julius Indongo?

The jabs are coming in quick succession, but they're a little wild and Burns is doing a good job of keeping his distance.

Indongo unleashes a right, left, right combination to the body of Burns. But the Scot isn't fazed.

Even though it is two rounds to Indongo, I'm pleased Ricky Burns is being smart and patient.

If he looks for too much too soon he will get nailed by one of this guy's punches.

  7. Round twopublished at 22:58 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

Indongo has the look of a footballer from the waist down, long blue socks up to his knees.

Burns is wearing his camouflage trunks but he's not going hiding here, he's trying to counter the quick Namibian.

Burns swings a left and that looked to slip through Indongo's defence. The crowd enjoyed that one.

Indongo won that first round. Ricky was being sensible because with someone so wild and heavy handed you either have to stay at a distance or right inside - you can't sit at range.

Ricky probably has to sacrifice the first few rounds to keep make him tighten up. He is going to have to dog this fight out.

  9. Round twopublished at 22:56 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

There's a few Namibia flags dotted around the venue. Those who have brought them in have enjoyed these opening few minutes.

Ricky Burns is already going searching for his opponent more than he did in the first round, but Julius Indongo slips away.

Ricky Burns can't get into any rhythm because of these long arms. But Indongo has not really landed anything on the chin. Indongo might have won the round on work-rate alone.

    Burns v Indongo

The Namibian isn't showing any fear here. He's diving in, looking for quick combinations and it looks like he might have caught Ricky Burns below the eye.

Julius Indongo looks a lot taller than the Scot. He's going to prove awkward for Burns.

The home fighter is the man having to defend early on.

    And that's the bell.

  12. Round onepublished at 22:52 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

It's Julius Indongo who goes on the charge early on.

He's got a longer reach and he's looking to put it to the test. Ricky Burns is just riding those jabs at the minute, jockeying around the ring.

  13. Round onepublished at 22:51 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

That's the bell. Here we go.

    The SSE Hydro Arena erupts.

Burns can't stop a proud smile rippling across his face as Flower of Scotland rings out. And this time the Glasgow crowd are giving it belters.

It could be an emotional night for the 34-year-old Scot.

He's 12 rounds away from unifying the super-lightweight division.

  18. 'Both look supremely confident'published at 22:45 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Burns v Indongo

    Adam Booth
Former trainer of David Haye on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

My first thought is both of them look supremely confident. Indongo won't care one jot about this atmosphere. He looks mentally strong and oblivious to everything.

Ricky Burns is a proven operator. He looks calm.

It looks like we're going to have something that is going to off.

Ricky Burns looks focused, going through his last moments of preparation in the ring.

The Namibian national anthem plays first, but it's drowned out by a raucous Scottish crowd.

I tell you what, there are more Julius Indongo fans here than I first gave him credit for.

  20. Burns' ring walkpublished at 22:42 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

Ricky Burns has donned the camouflage.

The lights go down, the Glasgow crowd goes wild.

It's the reigning WBA super-lightweight champion entering the ring to a bit of Guns n Roses.

    It's nearly time.
