There's a crowd of 9,000 boxing fans inside the Hydro on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow.

On the undercard, Barnsley's Robbie Barrett edged out Scott Cardle from Lytham in a hard-fought contest for the British lightweight title, while Joe Ham won the Scottish featherweight crown against fellow Glaswegian Scott McCormack.

The atmosphere is building nicely for the arrival into the arena of Ricky Burns and Julius Indongo at about 22:00 BST.

Ricky Burns is under no illusions how important tonight is. The Coatbridge man is only the third British fighter to have won world titles at three different weights.

"If I can unify the division and add another world title to the collection, it doesn't get any bigger than that," said the 34-year-old Scot.

"Mentally, I'm always prepared for whatever's coming my way and I'm not afraid to lose. I will fight anybody they put in front of me. I will always give it 100%. I'm looking forward to it."

First, a bit of news from earlier, as Rio Olympian Lawrence Okolie extended his undefeated professional record to two wins from two.

The 24-year-old cruiserweight downed Poland's Lukasz Rusiewicz three times in the first round.

The 23-year-old welterweight beat Jay Byrne in a six-rounder.

And there was also a win for Robbie Barrett, who claimed the British lightweight title with a majority points win over Scott Cardle.

  4. Postpublished at 21:47 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

We'll have all the build-up to tonight's main fight, while there'll also be updates from Iain Butcher and Charlie Edwards' bout - the pair are already in the ring.

Edwards has a shot at the vacant British super-flyweight title, but Butcher failed to make the weight meaning he won't be able to take the belt even if he wins.

Scot Butcher has won 16 of his 18 pro fights, with two defeats, while Surrey-born Edwards has won nine and lost one of his 10 professional bouts.
