Round 1: Tyson Fury v Sefer Seferi

    Jamie Moore
Boxing trainer on BBC Radio 5 live

It was a strange round, and apprehensive round. Tyson Fury was playing, but we could see a lot of nerves as well. There were very few punches of quality thrown.

  3. 'Fury laughing and play-acting'published at 22:47 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

Round 1: Tyson Fury v Sefer Seferi

    Mike Costello
BBC Sport boxing correspondent on Radio 5 live

There is a huge, deafening atmosphere in the Manchester Arena. Tyson Fury was laughing, play-acting and sticking his tongue out, but he's been nearly caught a few times by Sefer Seferi - there's clearly still work to do for Fury.

Round 1: Tyson Fury v Sefer Seferi

Seferi leans forward trying to connect with the Fury head, but his arms just aren't long enough.

An opening round of posing, a bit of dancing, a bit of prancing, little actual action though.

Chardona: If Tyson is stones heavier than his opponent, how on Earth can that be a fair match-up and fight?

Round 1: Tyson Fury v Sefer Seferi

Some early posing from Tyson Fury, who then urges the smaller man to attack. A bit of a shuffle from Fury, who wants to put on a show. Nothing landed so far though.

Round 1: Tyson Fury v Sefer Seferi

Fury is nearly a foot taller than his opponent and towers over his man, with the Englishman plonking himself right in the middle of the ring.

Seferi dives in head down and swinging. That may not be the worst tactic.

Don't go anywhere, this might not last long.

  9. Postpublished at 22:43 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

Down from over 27 stone, Tyson Fury is under 20 stone now, still not in the condition he was when he beat Wladimir Klitschko, but a great effort to get back in the ring after his well documented struggles.

The heavyweight boxing world needs Tyson Fury. It's become a bit boring and he excites it with all his banter! Fury after a few bouts to rule the world!

    Jamie Moore
Former British and European light-middleweight champion on Radio 5 live

It's an absolutely incredible atmosphere. I think Tyson Fury's reputation and popularity has grown since his exodus - he's such an amazing personality - he's made for this kind of night.

The referee is Phil Edwards. Will it be a busy evening for him?

"The time has arrived," we are helpfully told. The atmosphere is electric. So what if he has been out of the ring for two years, so what if he should storm through his opponent, the former world heavyweight champion is back in the ring and that can only be a good thing for the sport.

Imagine the build-up to Fury v Joshua at Wembley next summer. Oh, it would be good.
