Former British heavyweight champion on Radio 5 live

Sefer Seferi has absolutely nothing to lose here, he knows he's been brought in to lose to Tyson Fury, but anything can happen in heavyweight boxing and I'm sure he'll do everything he can.

    "He's back".

We never thought this would happen again. The dark days are behind him. For the first time in nearly 1,000 days Tyson Fury is making his ringwalk.

The big man is back. This should spice things up a bit.

Who is the better fighter - Wilder, Joshua or Fury and why?

Faizan: Gypsy King takes both Joshua and Wilder for me.

Tom: I think it’s hard to rank Fury the same as Joshua and Wilder. We’ll see where he’s at after a few fights, but I think Joshua beats both Wilder and Fury.

    Fury v Seferi

    Jamie Moore
Former British and European light-middleweight champion on Radio 5 live

Tyson Fury has had a lot to overcome in his personal life, and the stuff he's gone through can break a man, so to get to the position where he is today has been an achievement in itself.

There has been a lot said about his opponent - but let's get through tonight and see where Fury can go.

  6. The underdog gets into the ringpublished at 22:35 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

Here comes the underdog, here comes Sefer Seferi. He will have never experienced anything like this in his career.

A chance to catapult himself from absolutely nowhere to the top level in boxing if he is to cause something incredible here.

Who is the better fighter - Wilder, Joshua or Fury and why?

If Tyson Fury is in peak physical condition he would beat the lot. Anthony Joshua's cardio is very poor due to being muscle-bound and would gas chasing the slick Fury for 12 rounds. Deontay Wilder is the biggest threat with that right hand, but Fury made light work of the powerhouse Vladimir Klitschko, who could box as well.

  8. 'The Fury of Dusseldorf beats any version of Joshua'published at 22:34 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

    Steve Bunce

That morning after he beat Klitschko Fury could barely walk as he'd worn cheap socks in the ring and had huge blisters. There was something horribly inevitable that post-fight day. It was almost too good to be true. I'm not being an after timer.

We were thinking he is untouchable, if he's fit he could reign for as long as he likes, then we all went 'it's just not going to go like that is it?'

Could Joshua keep chasing Tyson, hitting him with jabs or right hands, will he ever get near him?

With Wilder, would Tyson slow down enough to get clipped by one right hand? I have to be honest, I think the Fury of Dusseldorf beats any version of Joshua or Wilder but we have no idea if we are ever going to see him again.

Watch as Tyson Fury and Sefer Seferi's weigh-in from Friday proved to be a bit unusual to say the least as it turned into a lifting competition.

Seferi did well to lift the former world heavyweight champion who weighed in at 19st 10lb.

Who is the better fighter - Wilder, Joshua or Fury and why?

Lorne Brown: If Fury runs, which he will, he will beat both Joshua and Wilder. AJ is not the puncher people think. He doesn't put anyone to sleep. Wilder the banger out of them all but so very wild.

Michael Reynolds: Fury will never fight either Wilder or Joshua, indiscipline will be his downfall.

Max Poole: It depends on if Fury can take Joshua's punches. Joshua took Klitschko's but Fury never got tagged by him. Would be interesting to see.

What a time this is for heavyweight boxing. A fit and exciting Tyson Fury will only add to that value and atmosphere.

  14. Seferi is dangerous - Furypublished at 22:30 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

    Fury v Seferi

Who is expecting a Seferi win? It seems that no-one is the answer, the bookies have Fury as short as 1-1000.

But Fury is still weary of his opponent, saying Seferi is "dangerous" and has a "lion's heart".

"If he has knocked out 21 men before, if he gets it on my chin he will knock me out too," said the 29-year-old.

The 39-year-old Seferi is almost a foot shorter and about five stone lighter than Fury.

Fury added: "I look at Sefer like I look at Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, anybody. He's a dangerous puncher. I could have picked someone a lot easier than Sefer; someone to knock out in a round. But I need rounds."

Seferi says he has "come to win" but described Fury as "one of the best talents of the 21st century".

  15. 'The fight will prove nothing'published at 22:28 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

    Fury v Seferi

    Steve Bunce
BBC Radio 5 live boxing pundit

To be honest, Seferi is about exactly what I expected. No one is going for the two of these guys to have a slug fest, they are there to see Fury.

The fight will prove nothing. Would it be helpful if he was five inches taller and three stone heavier? Of course.

He is not there for anything other than to throw some punches and end up on the canvas. It is cynical. This is fight number one. It's not a competitive fight. It's the business working. It's reintroducing Tyson Fury to an audience.

My gut is Seferi is so much shorter, so much lighter, so much older but I don't think he will fall on the floor when he is half clipped.

I think he will give him five or six rounds and we can all empty out into the Manchester night and have some fun.

  16. Who is Sefer Seferi?published at 22:27 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

So what do we know about the man standing in the opposite corner to Tyson Fury later on tonight.

He is nicknamed 'The Real Deal' which is surely a good start, either that or he was just a big Evander Holyfield fan.

Seferi, who is Albanian and lives in Switzerland, is 39 years old and has fought 24 times, with 23 victories and 21 of those coming inside the distance.

All sounds promising, right? Well, yes, of course it does, until you realise the fact all those 23 wins have been at cruiserweight and his only defeat, a unanimous points loss after a 10-rounder against Syria's Manuel Charr in September 2016, was his only previous go at heavyweight.

Throw in the fact he is nearly five stone lighter than Fury and 5ft 11in, compared to the Brit being 6ft 9in, and you can see why the Brit is as short as 1-1000 to win. You rarely see a poor bookie.

Obviously, it does mean Seferi has a chance to produce an absolutely life-changing night if he is to shock the boxing world.

The Real Deal or a badly-matched punchbag? We will see.

Boxing some may say is the ultimate business sport. No one is shy of making a buck.

Inside the Manchester Arena you can fill your boots with memorabilia.

Like these signed Tyson Fury gloves at £100.

Or there are signed shorts at £149, or this signed photo for a modest £50.

Would you invest? Personally I think the bright green signed shorts would make for lovely gardening attire. Let the neighbours know you mean business when you’re trimming the hedge...
