Manchester - Josh Warrington v Carl Frampton

    Steve Bunce
BBC Radio 5 live boxing pundit

Six months to nine months ago I would have had Frampton a hefty favourite. I'm not necessarily thinking he slipped a little bit but I'm not necessarily thinking he is the Frampton who went to New York to fight Santa Cruz.

His style, the amount of years he had as a junior, boy, amateur and man as a professional, I think this is a lot closer than nine months ago.

  6. 'I still have to prove people wrong'published at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

Manchester - Josh Warrington v Carl Frampton

Josh Warrington - undefeated in 27 outings - gained a superb shock win over Lee Selby to land the IBF World Featherweight title in May.

The Leeds fighter claims his belt earned him "free sambucas" and "free parking" in his city but told BBC Sport he is still "not satisfied" with his career.

"I think if you have that feeling you do lose your edge, that bit of fire," he said. "I still have that, I still feel like a challenger, like I have to prove people wrong because they have me as an underdog.

"The belt goes in a box and sits at the bottom of my bed. I haven't changed, I just have another accolade. I will look back when I retire and appreciate it but at this moment in time I want to add more to it, go as far as I can.

"The fire is burning. I am so hungry and can't wait to get in there. I went into this for a Frampton like he says he is - in his prime. That's what makes me graft in the gym, work hard."

  7. 'Good luck'published at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

Carl Frampton tested out his footballing skills at Rangers earlier this month, and here he is with Rangers gaffer Steven Gerrard.

  11. 'Avoid temptation'published at 21:44 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Manchester: Williams v Heffron

"If you can stay doing that for 12 rounds you are sorted. I can see the temptation to step in and drop him but do not get carried away," says Dominic Ingle, trainer of Liam Williams.

The Welsh fighter jabbed nicely in round one and looked in control against an undefeated opponent.

Round two sees a couple of clashes of heads and as they are warned, the pair glare at one another. The dislike is evident.

After the third, Williams is again told by Ingle: "You can see his right hand a mile off. Be patient."

    Williams edging this for sure...

  13. 'It's a dream come true'published at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

Edwards wins WBC flyweight world title

Promoter Eddie Hearn is in there to congratulate Charlie Edwards, along with the 25-year-old's family.

And here is the new WBC flyweight champion on Sky Sports: "That's for you mum! You always believed in me and when she was ill she told me never to give up on my dream.

"When I got the cut I was like 'ooh, first cut in the pro ring', but it didn't really bother me.

"Grant Smith has turned me into a different fighter. I am so obsessed with this sport, I live it day in, day out and when I don't have a fight I am depressed.

"My mental strength in the past two and a half years has been tested.

"I believed from when the fight got announced and was going to bed with a picture on my wall, visualising. It's a dream come true. I'm lost for words.

"I want to unify the division. I am ready for anyone and everyone."

  16. Edwards thinks he's won itpublished at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

London - round 12: Charlie Edwards v Cristofer Rosales

    Final round, here we go.

Charlie Edwards thinks he's three minutes from the WBC flyweight world title.

He needs to keep up the intensity here. Cristofer Rosales leaps into a flurry of body shots that Edwards is forced to cover up and soak it up, but then Rosales lands a right-hander on the reddening cheeks of Edwards.

Edwards slips the next one, but is struggling to land late on and Rosales is definitely finishing the stronger.

Edwards reaches his arms to the sky, he's convinced he's won this.

Manchester - Liam Williams v Mark Heffron

    Luke Reddy
    BBC Sport boxing reporter

Liam Williams and Mark Heffron coming up for the vacant British middleweight title, the last bout before the main event.

Let's just say their arguments at the news conference had a few swear words tossed back and forth (and when I say a few, I mean a lot).

Worth remembering Williams beat Heffron's brother a few years back. The Welshman lost twice of course to Liam Smith last year but now has a couple of wins under his belt.

Heffron is undefeated. This could be a cracker as they genuinely seem to dislike one another.

Oh and Heffron just walked out to The Fugees 'Ready or Not'. Firstly, that's a great tune and secondly, Williams walked out to it when he faced Smith. He's stood in the ring listening to it this time.

London - round 11: Charlie Edwards v Cristofer Rosales

No Christmas tunes in London yet, but plenty of Wham! as Charlie Edwards and Cristofer Rosales exchange blows. If the Brit doesn't take this then the O2 crowd will be Mistletoe and Whining.... I give up.

Edwards is finishing strongly, but Rosales isn't going away without a fight and the world title holder keeps the pressure on with a rangy left-right combo, before Edwards wraps up him on the ropes.

London - round 10: Charlie Edwards v Cristofer Rosales

Both fighters now doing their everything to take control of this flyweight title fight in the closing stages.

Challenger Charlie Edwards tries to get eyes on Cristofer Rosales, but just tickles the side of the Nicaraguan's head with a slightly miscued right-hander.
