    Round 1

It's an opening round of seeing what the other man has got in his locker. Selby, six years older at 33, is springing around the ring looking fit and in good shape, despite being out of the ring for more than a year.

Selby tries his luck with the left jabs. A tight opening round. Hard to call.

And here we go. Lee Selby lost his IBF World Featherweight title in a thriller against Josh Warrington at Leeds' Elland Road Ground in May 2018, but a win here will get him a shot to be Wales' first two-weight world champion sometime in 2021.

  4. Selby unsure how lack of crowd will affect himpublished at 21:50 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

All tonight's fights come from the Wembley Arena, but behind closed-doors, as all boxing in the UK has been since the end of the first lockdown.

"I'm not sure how I'm going to perform in this situation, says Lee Selby, whose fight with George Kambosos Jr had originally been scheduled to take place in Cardiff in May, with the fight then cancelled again from a second date of 3 October.

"i could just treat it like sparring with no atmosphere, but when you are in the dressing room it's all the same and when you're in the ring it's fight or flight."

Watch an interview with Selby below.

George Kambosos Jr 18-0 (10 KOs) bids to secure the mandatory spot for Teofimo Lopez’s IBF lightweight crown against former world champion Lee Selby (28-2) 9KOs.

Kambosos Jr, a 27-year-old Australian, said: “Out with the old and in with the new, this is a young man’s sport. The young hungry lion is here. It’s not only the freshness, it’s everything I’m bringing. The footwork, the power, the speed and ferociousness are all going to trouble Lee."

The pair sparred at the Wildcard Boxing Gym in California and Kambosos added: “I had the boy running all over the gym, he was just trying to use his little jab. Every time I touched him; he was shaking in his boots.

"I got the upper hand back then, so he needs to understand what I am going to do now. Lee, you will retire after this fight."

  6. Working (out) at homepublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

How did professional boxers keep themselves fit during the lockdown earlier in the year?

For Lee Selby, he built his own gym at his house to keep himself sharp as you can see in this video.

  7. Selby targets Welsh boxing historypublished at 21:45 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

No Welsh fighter has been an official two-weight world champion, but Lee Selby has that opportunity.

The former IBF featherweight champion first needs to overcome the unbeaten George Kambosos Jr in an IBF lightweight world title eliminator tonight.

"I want to make history, not just for myself, but for Welsh boxing," said Selby. "I'm only the 12th Welsh world champion and boxing has been going on a long time.

"Being Wales' first two-weight world champion would be something money can't buy."

Tonight's winner will be in line to face American Teofimo Lopez, who beat Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko by a unanimous points decision in Las Vegas to become the undisputed world lightweight champion.

  9. 'If you are good enough, you'll get there'published at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

New WBO middleweight champion Savannah Marshall tells Sky Sports Box Office: "I’m over the moon. There were times when I thought when will my chance come but tonight it did and I grabbed it with both hands.

"I’ve had nine fights in three years and I’ve learned sometimes it’s not just the fighting it’s about your profile. But Peter (Fury) has always said if you are good enough you’ll get there.

"I took a fight in April at light heavyweight and have come down to middleweight for this. The only reason Claressa got the belts is she got there before me, not because she is better than me, because she certainly isn't. I know she doesn’t want any of me."

We could have a very special contest to build towards between Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields. We gave Marshall all six of the completed rounds and she finished the fight in some fashion. It was a clinical performance.

That’s about leaving a statement and a mark and sending a message to Claressa Shields. That was pure quality.

Peter Fury is saying that’s the best middleweight and super-middleweight in the world by far. That was a statement.

  14. Postpublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

It was a relentless attack from Savannah Marshall, consisting of uppercuts, straight rights, straight lefts, body shots and that was what put Hannah Rankin on her knees. She beat the count, but referee Phil Edwards isn't convinced that Rankin is in a fit state to continue.

This might be a high tide mark for British women's boxing. We haven't seen this from any of our female boxers as good as they are. We are seeing a masterclass tonight.
