  1. Marshall v Rankinpublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

    Round 6

Marshall gets Rankin on the back foot and again lands a brutal left and right to the body.

Rankin's attempts look to be getting a bit desperate, a bit more swinging from the hip and hoping. Six entertaining rounds, but Rankin, although losing, is still in there and if she connects with one of her swinging efforts then that could change everything.

Coming up later - Usyk v Chisora. At the moment, Chisora is getting some last-minute exercise.

    Usyk v Chisora

Chris Wex: Usyk weathers the round or two of storm Chisora throws at him then spends however long it takes patiently dismantling his soul.

  4. Marshall v Rankinpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

    Round 5

A right uppercut from Savannah Marshall in the fifth and her work is certainly more economical and accurate, but Rankin is a tough competitor and given it her all. We're at the halfway point and Marshall has a convincing lead at the moment.

Blood coming from the nose of Rankin now.

  7. Marshall v Rankinpublished at 21:18 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

    Round 4

Both Mike Costello and Steve Bunce have all three rounds so far for Savannah Marshall and she's impressing again in the fourth.

There's a good, pleasing-on-the-eye variety in the work, including a beautiful left hook and she then has success with the right as well, a crunching shot that rocks Rankin's head back.

There's blood from Rankin's nose as well, and Marshall's early cut has not opened up again.

It’s a different level in class. That’s not to take anything away from Hannah Rankin.

  9. Marshall v Rankinpublished at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

    Round 3

A solid combination from Rankin, but the Marshall defence is a good one and soaks up the punches. Rankin has been the aggressor in the third though, trying to make an impact with some brutal looking body shots.

A right hook from Rankin lands, maybe her best shot of the fight so far, but Marshall ends strongly with a couple of solid left hooks in the final few seconds of the round.

Rankin is giving it everything. She is hard and gritty. She just knows too much.

  11. Marshall v Rankinpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

    Round 2

Once more, a right uppercut from Marshall finds its mark and the Englishwoman seems to have found her range quickly. She then tries to work the body of Rankin, before a looping right tries to find the head of Rankin, although the Scot sees it coming and ducks out the way.

Rankin can't do anything to avoid another uppercut though.

That cut is one to keep an eye on, but it's not severe enough yet and into the second.

  13. Postpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

A little bit of a cut, maybe from a clash of heads, over the eye of Marshall at the end of the first round.

  14. Marshall v Rankinpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

    Round 1

As you would expect, it's a tight opener. Marshall has a bit of a success with a clipping uppercut. Rankin has been springing about looking to cause some damage with her jabs, but not much success so far.

All of Matchroom's shows over the next month and a bit will be taking place at Wembley Arena.

We've moved from Eddie Hearn's garden in Essex, the stage of Matchroom's summer 'Fight Camp' events, and we're back in a proper venue of boxing.

Just a shame there are no fans in attendance. This promises to be a good one, though.

  17. Rankin not phased by empty arenapublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

Hannah Rankin says she can draw from her experience as a musician to deal with a lack of fans at her world title bout with Savannah Marshall.

Scotland's Rankin takes on unbeaten Marshall at Wembley Arena for the vacant WBO middleweight belt.

The fight had been scheduled for 17 October but was delayed when English fighter Marshall's trainer Peter Fury tested positive for Covid-19.

"For me it doesn't make any difference," said bassoonist Rankin.

"Coming from my musical background, I've performed in massive auditoriums with massive audiences and I've performed to two people, like my mum and dad, when I was doing solo performances.

"This is a big fight. I'm feeling like it's not going to be make much of a difference."
