    Round 3

Pulev tries to get going with a powerful right hand, but can't land it cleanly. A swinging left hook but Joshua sees it coming and ducks.

Joshua then lands with a huge combination. Pulev in trouble.

He's not come here as a tourist, Pulev has come here to win today.

They are both cancelling each other out. Joshua needs to take the initiative and step on the gas, I think.

    Round 2

An angry glare at each other at the end of the second and this time it's Anthony Joshua's time to laugh at his opponent. The Briton has two rounds on the board, just because Pulev can't get going yet.

    Round 2

Anthony Joshua is managing to keep Pulev at distance, with the Bulgarian unable to land more than a jab at a time before something comes back at him.

Pulev smiles a smile of contempt, as if to say "is that all you have got". But Joshua is starting to find his range.

    Round two

A jab is punched out from Anthony Joshua and it's spot on, in between the defence. Now Joshua is letting the hands go. Pulev smiles at him. That's normally a sign it's hurt him.

Both men doing the right thing. A bit of a stalemate but Joshua has found his range quicker. I give that to Joshua.

Into the second. To quote David Diamante, 'the fight starts now'.

Three or four nice jabs from Joshua. A bit tentative. I thought we might have seen a bit more - in the end we've seen three or four jabs.

Neither man has got into a rhythm. Joshua has done more of the clinical hard scoring.

    Round 1

Anthony Joshua tries to get the distance spot on. An overhand right is soaked up by a high Pulev defence but maybe you have to give that round to the Briton as Pulev didn't really do anything.

    Round 1

Very, very cagey early on. A good jab from Joshua as they both try to shake off the ring rust after such long absences without fighting.

It's a bit of a guessing game in the early stages here.

    Round 1

Some early feints from both men, springing on their toes trying to draw an early error from their opponent. Pulev tries one to the body and it's swatted away by the Joshua defence.

Here we go. An intense staredown in the middle of the ring. Let's go.

  20. 'The fight starts NOW'published at 22:52 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2020

Ring announcer David Diamante's screamed catchphrase 'The fight starts NOW' has seemed, well, pretty much a waste of time when there's been no fans in attendance, but now it gets the lively reaction it deserves.

The crowd are pumped, Diamante is pumped, the boxers are pumped. We're minutes away.
