Wayne Ellis: It’s a weak division these days, so nothing would be a massive shock, but I think Fury wins this well inside the distance.

  4. Biggest British heavyweight clash in history?published at 20:29 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

    Kal Sajad
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

This is being billed as one of the biggest all-British heavyweight fights in the history of the sport.

Other contenders include Joe Bugner's narrow victory over Henry Cooper over 15 gruelling rounds at Wembley Arena in 1971 and Lennox Lewis knocking out national treasure Frank Bruno in Cardiff in 1993.

Compared to those fights, it’s debateable whether this fight has the same crossover appeal to the British public. But if you look at the numbers, Fury-Whyte tops the list; the biggest purse in the history of the sport and the largest post-war attendance at a European boxing event.

  7. 'The king has returned'published at 20:24 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

This is Tyson Fury's first fight since he won a classic against Deontay Wilder in October.

After a draw and a win in their first two bouts, the trilogy ended with another Fury win, but he had to get up twice in the fourth round before doing so.

Fury, who put Wilder down in the third, 10th and 11th, then knocked the American out later in the 11th.

  8. 'I predict pain'published at 20:19 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

Here are some predictions from some big names in the boxing world...

Britain's WBO super-welterweight champion Natasha Jonas: "I'm going for a Tyson Fury win. I've bet against him before and got it wrong so never again.

"How he wins depends on which Tyson turns up on the night."

Fury's coach SugarHill Steward: "I predict pain. Dillian is not a special talent of a fighter, but he's consistent with pressure and comes with a lot of power. You always have to watch out for Dillian."

British welterweight Conor Benn: "I wouldn't be surprised if Dillian Whyte [wins]. The [Deontay] Wilder fights have had a toll on Fury - he's been inactive for quite a while, so has Whyte. Whyte has got that dogfight in him, but so has Fury. I think Whyte is the bigger puncher of the two. I wouldn't be surprised if Whyte [wins], but I lean more towards Fury."

Matthew: On paper Fury, but can't write Whyte off at all. It's his chance and he hasn't let Fury play any mind games. If I have to pick it's Fury within five but...

Cole: Love them both. May the best man win

  10. Tommy Fury claims dominant winpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

    Kal Sajad
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

Earlier tonight, Tommy Fury made it eight straight wins as a professional with a dominant six-round points win over Poland's Daniel Bocianski, with the former Love Island star dropping the Polish light-heavyweight in the fifth round,

While Tommy Fury was fighting, the big screens in the stadium showed his brother Tyson watching on from the changing rooms.

The WBC champion, while chilling on a reclined massage bed, raised both hands in the air and poked his tongue out to the camera. He looked as chilled as they come. No signs of nerves whatsoever.

  14. The time has comepublished at 20:04 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

    Kal Sajad
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

    Welcome to north west London.

Welcome to the most iconic stadium in British sport.

Welcome to arguably the biggest all-British heavyweight bout in history.

Dillian Whyte is the underdog who has grafted and earned his right for a crack at the title. A win tonight will catapult him into international stardom.

Tyson Fury is already a global superstar. Undefeated. A two-time world champion. A future hall-of-famer.

I’m just as hyped as the 94,000 fans who will fill up this stadium this evening.
